1) Born in 1903. Actor, One of his first major film roles was his portrayal of Brigham Young in the 1940 movie, "Brigham Young". He also had the role of Major (later Lieutenant Colonel) Harvey Stovall in "Twelve O'Clock High" and General Waverly in the 1954 classic, "White Christmas". Probably best remembered as Principal Albert Vane in 1963 TV series "Mr. Novak". See him with Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby in this White Christmas trailer:

Comedian, writer, His regular characterizations on "Hee Haw" included the Barber, in which he performed his Spoonerism stories and his "That's Bad/That's Good" routines and the Doctor with Nurse Goodbody. 4) Born in 1937. Singer, her name is Mary Travers. What folk group was she part of? Songs, "Puff the Magic Dragon", "If I Had a Hammer"
5) Born in 1964. Actress, she starred as Kimberly in the TV series "Diff'rent Strokes", arrested for robbing a video store after her career went south. She died of an overdose from Vanadom and Vicodin. Her death at the early age of 35 was eventually ruled a suicide.
6) Died in 1980 at 50. Actor, Some of his early jobs after stealing hubcaps and petty crime were as a towel boy in a brothel, on an oil rigger, as a trinket salesman in a carnival and as a lumberjack. At one point he was committed as an incorrigible to the California Junior Boys Republic. He had an unusual reputation for demanding free items in bulk from studios when agreeing to do a film, such as electric razors, jeans and several other products. It was later found out that he requested these things because he was donating them to the Boy's Republic. Best remembered for his roles as Capt. Hilts "The Cooler King" in "The Great Escape", and Josh Randall on TV's " Wanted: Dead or Alive". His body was cremated, and his ashes spread in the Pacific Ocean. Actor, He played Bret Maverick's brother, Bart, in the TV series "Maverick". in the 1970s and he went into real estate and local politics in Huntington Beach, California, with the unique slogan "Let Maverick Solve Your Problems." He actually appeared 20 more episodes of Maverick than did James Garner. His sister, Nancy was also a movie star, playing in 36 motion pictures. They bore a strong resemblance to each other.
8) Died in 2004 at 85. Actor/Singer. He had roles in several movie musicals, including Frank Butler in the 1950 film, "Annie Get Your Gun", Gaylord Ravenal in the 1951 hit, "Show Boat", and Adam Pontipee in the 1954 movie, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" where he was known for his baritone voice, he played Clayton Farlow on the TV series "Dallas". He was cremated and his ashes scattered at various favorite places including Mere Golf Club. Enjoy him in this Oklahoma medley. (Oh what a beautiful voice):
