Annie, I just cannot image Paragon with a real restaurant, I was thru there in 1969 I think and there was a bacon & egg grill that would open for a few months at a time. I think the Paragon State Bank had closed by then. My Grand Dad lived between Paragon and Lewisville. Jack

Hi All: It looks like just as I started to make a comment, everything went silent. Oh well, here goes anyway. Maybe it will come back later. We also took that trip to Laa-fa(long a)et, LA. They are a dancing bunch of fools there. Festivals all the time. We went to one in the park at 9 AM and everyone from 2-90 were already dancing the LA two step and music was blaring. We went to a restaurant there dressed casually, and all the Cajuns were dressed up. So when we decided to go to the "Festival", we dressed a little better (with what we had in the suitcase). Yep, everyone was very casual. Even dancing in bibs and hiking boots. Lots of fun everywhere.
We also went to Avery Island, since Lanny Nutty ate Tabasco on everything. A friend of ours said Lanny would use it on ice cream if he could get away with it. I always told him it seemed that me that everything would also taste the same. He even put it on eggs, gravy , pizza, in sour cream for a dip with chips. You got the picture. When we were at Avery, they told us that there was a bottle of Tabasco on almost every table in every restaurant from Atlantic to Pacific. Not so much now, you probably have to ask for it, but it will be there.
Speaking of bean soup, we had it quite often growing up, along with fried potatoes and corn bread. I always put catsup and dill pickle juice in mine along with the cornbread. The Greek restaurants around the West side make bean soup and use a tomato base, dill week, a few carrots and celery.......very good. Nick at the Paragon Rest. makes really good soup. Fresh every day.
Well, didn't mean to make that long a comment, but you got into a good subject for me-----eating! (sorry)
Love to all, Annie > < replied-to message removed by QT >

Juanita, take care of yourself. I had bronchitis and had to litereally stop and rest for two days. My fear was it going into pneumonia like it went into last year. Monday, I felt much better without having to go to the dr. It is amazing what rest will do for you. I think the last few months are catching up with me. Patsy

Pat if you have time give us a call during the Holidays.
Tony, We have gone to Pit Stop and enjoyed the food too. Seems like everything I put in my mouth or just look at takes the blood sugar up. Think it might be because I have had a cold or flu going on. JM

Yes jack
I watched that game to its conclusion last night. I thought the Texans would pull that one out. I hope the Colts are as successful.

Pat A little factoid, Avon seems to have the cheapist gas in the territory. Be sure to check it out. Brownsburg has the highest.
