SADLY your info is right. Talked with guys who went and #132 Kip Davis Yamaha rider was the guy you heard about. He was a regular down at the Albany track. Was talking with Erick and me, one of the last times down there,ALWAYS a great, friendly ,nice guy,who loved to ride. We'll miss him a lot. JR

Here is from channel 12 guys
ALBANY, Ore. -- An Albany man died in an off-road motorcycle crash Wednesday night, deputies said.

Linn County sheriff's deputies said 37-year-old Kip Davis was practicing with several other riders at the Albany Supercross motocross track on Berry Lane.

Davis wrecked his Yamaha YZ 450F motorcycle while riding over a series of large bumps known as "whoop-de-doos" said Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller. He landed at a steep angle on his front wheel, causing the motorcycle to flip end-over-end several times, Mueller said.

Deputies said it appeared Davis suffered massive internal injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened at about 8 p.m.

Mueller described Davis as an experienced rider who practiced several days each week at the track.Copyright 2010 by KPTV.com. All rights reserved.

Albany 9/1/10

If one can say a couple of things about Albany its variety and fun. The track is changed nearly every week. This weeks configuration was a novice track that just about anyone could enjoy. They added a fast long straight nearly the length of the park with some gentle risers to keep the flow going. The whoop section that wasn’t popular last week was massaged out to be a fun set of mini doubles to be taken as a rhythm section. The track tied in the step down jump on the southeast side and the tabletop on the east side which lead to a long straight and a sweeper to the step up on the north side. Grooming as usual was excellent except for the watered jump faces and landings which I wish they would just leave dry. Deb took about a thousand pics but didn’t get the last couple of sessions as she re-sprained her ankle over by the table top that she injured playing tennis a couple of weeks ago. She should have her pics up on her web site later today.
The rain shadow they sit in also worked as Portland sat in rain for Tuesday and part of Wednesday which canceled the Mt View practice Albany didn’t see a drop.

Hey, Thanks!, Bob B. & Kevin P. That's all good stuff to know!

Well shoot, since neither the bike nor me likes to turn, I guess I'll get along with it okay, hee hee......

It came with a Dr. D exhaust system, and a radiator lowering kit from Dr. D.

Other than grips that I like, numbers, and maybe some wider footpegs, it doesn't seem to need too much.....

Jimmie, KP nailed it on that yammie. Does not turn well. I change the clamp offset to help it steer. Super smooth and stable, you'll love it. Stock motor and pipe! Don't mess with the power.

Condolences to the Hassebroek family as well. Very sad.

I'll be out of town for a couple weeks working, everyone have fun. Good luck to all Fernley bound.

Leaving for Fernley tomorrow. Still having trouble with the ankle, have not ridden in a month. Basically spent two weeks laying on the couch with my leg up. Boy do I feel fat.

Going to ride tomorrow in Marysville and see how it goes, then head up to Reno on Friday morning. Probably be at the track late afternoon. Looking forward to one of the best tracks of the year.

Condolences to the Hassebroek family.

Jimmie, That 06' YZ450 has the best suspension ever and a smooth motor. Brownlie won the #1 plate in the Master B class on that bike. I think you got to use the rear tire to help turn that particular bike cause its more of a stable platform then a carver but after you learn to ride it you should be happy with it.

Hey, Mitch!!!

Well, after riding a 1998 model KTM forever, I thought I'd try getting something made this century, and got a pretty nice 2006 Yamaha YZ450F. Not the greatest price, but a good bike....

I just got it resprung for my bulk, and now I've gotta get some time on it & play with clickers & such...... I'm hoping it'll ride better than the old KaTooM, but we'll see. I think I had that old 300 dialed in better than I realized......

So far, it really doesn't seem much "faster" than my 300; it just seems "smoother" if that's understandable..... Now, I Just wish the rider was "smoother" & "faster", hee hee......

Hey, Kevin P.!

Hmmm, Mtn. View is having a Saturday & a Sunday Practice???? I'm doing some work with 0ur church on that day, so Sat. or Mon. works best for me....

Hey, Mitch!

We had a family camping/fishing trip planned before I was aware of the practice day at Mtn. View. I missed the prior Tues. practice @ Mtn. View, and the OT day last Sat., while I was out "slaughtering" the smallmouth bass.......
Kinda frustrating. I need to ride, and I have the new-to-me 450 I'd like to get dialed into, and get dialed in...... It'll happen eventually....
