Nancy D, Can you tell me what shops you went to in Dennis, Yarmouth, and Chatham? Maria and I are doing a trip on Saturday. Maybe other club members will join us, but I haven't heard from them yet.

Hi, Sandy, The one in Dennis is on 6A and it is called the Antiques Center of Cape Cod. It is on a corner and hard to see until you pass it, but has a big American flag outside and building is set back quite far. If you pass Tobey farm, you passed the Antiques!

On Rt. 28, there is the Antiques Center of Yarmouth, #325 next to Yarmouth House restaurant. Very large and lots of booths.

Then in Harwich on rt.28, #10, is the Harwich Antiques center. In Harwich Port, 346 Rt.29, (junction of Rt.28) is my favorite, Windsong Antiques. It is smaller, but they usually have a lot of salts. Currently they have many old masters and some intaglios. Bought 3 there this time.

Thanks Nancy for that information on the Cape antiques shops.

Where is the plique? their pictures make everything look like it is just enamel. What a huge price! Still it may be fine, but it just doesn't look like the enamel is transparent or maybe they are just not showing it correctly. Their other auction with "plique" shows no plique at all.

Mary: This is what I tried to send regarding the Cape Cod salt:

I'm not sure, but Lorraine or maybe Ed himself might have one without the wavy top if you want pictures for comparison. Or maybe it's in OSC. I just don't remember.

Got your column and will fit it together with the pictures you sent previously. It's coming together well. I am just waiting on the convention article and pictures from Jim and Joan.

Way off of salts but ...My car was totaled tuesday by a red light runner I am hurting but OK my question is I am looking at a Nisian Versa for its about what I can afford do any of you have one of these cars or know someone who does and what's your take on them. Sarah

Gosh, Sarah....I sure hope you are A-OK!!! I had Datsun/Nissan cars for YEARS and had no trouble with them....but....I haven't heard anything about the Versa. Have you tried Car and Drive on-line? Or perhaps Consumer Reports? Might be some feedback on those sites...
