I can do concessions on Sunday, but not Saturday since ill be in DC all day for the girlscout sing a long. I can take a co-lead position but given my still newbie position I don't want to do it alone.

Mike can do music after 3pm on Sat and After 1:30pm on Sunday, but can not do morning. He has to work. I will help as needed. I am going to be in DC on Sat with the scouts and have an order for 500+ cupcakes for June 8th... so my kitchen is pretty full. If I knew we were doing food at someone elses meet, I would not have booked so many cakes, next year I'll know, bad part of being a newbie, I only get part of the story and Im assumed to know the rest.

I belong to Sam's Club & am also staying at the Country Suites, so would be happy to do any shopping that's needed on Saturday. I can also shop during the week for non-perishables such as snacks.

I will gladly help you with Music on Sunday. I would be glad to lead up breakfast for the concessions for Sunday if that would help. I can bring bagels, cream cheese, muffins, and bags of orange slices if this seems appropriate.

If you saw LeeAnn's message, we are now doing music instead of announcing. I'll volunteer to do music. We will have to call to see whether we are using our equipment. I've had Mike (Abby's dad) and Julie (Sydney's mom) help in the past and would like them to help again on Sunday. Rob and I can handle it on Saturday night and we can switch off on Sunday as our kids are performing! I will make sloppy joes or pasta salad or both, whoever is running concessions can let me know what they want.

I know some people have been asking about concessions at regionals. I did get some info today that should answer some of them. We will be reimbursed by the region for the food we purchase, and the profits will be split between the region and ourselves. So, that's good news, as we will make some money to be put towards Nationals.
1st Class has 2 refrigerators that we can use. They will get back to me about what else they have that we can use.
We should plan on around 20 judges/coaches and I'm guessing over 100 athletes.
Saturday's session should be around 2-3 hours, so we can plan on only having snack type food.
I also want to reiterate that unless you are announcing, every family should plan on having someone help with concessions or judges hospitality.

I didn't hear the call either, but I think LeeAnn probably said to let me know. At regionals they give out Academic Achievement Awards. I thought the GPA had to be 3.5 or higher, but I'm not sure as I haven't seen the regionals information sheet yet. Anyway, if you think your child qualifies, please put a copy of their 3rd marking period report card in my folder at the gym.

I did not hear the phone call conversation last Thursday because Abby had a cello concert, but someone told me that if the athelete has a GPA of 3.8 or better to let _____ know to be reconized _______. I am not sure who or where this goes. can someone help?

If we want to have pizza, I could call around to some pizza places near 1st Class and see where we can get the best deal. Also, I could look into how much a party sub might cost from Subway. I have a room reserved at the Country Inn, too, but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it at this point because of some other family commitments that weekend.

TO ALL: I already have a reservation at the Country Inn for Saturday and Sunday night for regionals. I will have room to store stuff and I'll make sure that I bring my large cooler for cold storage and to bring to the meet. We can also use the room as a staging area as it has a living room. The hotel is 3 minutes from 1st Class Gymnastics. I'm also planning on going back and forth as my husband is out of town and I will have my son with me. If you need a place for a sibling during the meet, we should be able to set them up and share watching them. The hotel does have an indoor pool. Denise
