Yuppers, Jeanette - spent a lot of time north central lower peninsula of Michigan in the winters. Loved it. I'll see what the next year or so brings.

As Veteran's Day approaches this is a good time for me to confess and apologize. Some time ago I wrote on this board about an experience in Viet Nam . I lied. I was never there. I didn't exaggerate or embellish, I lied. It was thoughtless and immature. I now realize that my lie dishonors those who never returned from that awful place and diminishes the service of those who came home forever scarred. I am truly ,truly sorry.

Steve, You & I have been friends for many year's even thought I haven't seen you in along time. I for one understand your feelings. Whats realy is strange is that some of the guys that didn't go have such guilt feelings well don't. I think the best thing that can happen now is just support the one's that went. They weren't very kind to us when we came back and any one that's was there will know what I mean. I was in the battle of Khe Sanh, I haven't figured out yet why I was spared so I kind of know what your talking about. I hope this make's sense. Just relax you said all you need to. I know one thing about Ben Davis people we do forgive and forget and take care of out own. Also I forget to say the Marine Corp. birthday is coming up 234 years. Sheila & I are going to our 1st ball this weekend should be interesting.
