John G: was going to make the lunch but am snowed in. Was out yesterday but not today; have about a 5' drift across the driveway. I have a couple early meetings in the morning so we'll see how it goes. I'm not big on shoveling snow.

Jeanette--are you in Maximo Moorings or Broadwater? I work for SPC at the AllState Center which you probably go by on 34th St all the time. There are a bunch of us in the Tampa Bay area from Judges to hairdressers. Tom Grey lives in Broadwater.

We live near St. Pete Beach - and Terra Verde. We are about 7 miles from Fort Desoto and 2 miles to the Don Ceasar - the big pink hotel near the end of St. Pete Beach. Largo and New Port Richey are both north. We are just off Pinellas Bayway - (the last exit off 275 before you head over the Sunshine Bridge to Ellenton and Sarasota. I think it would be great to plan a lunch for anyone who lives in the area. When we make it to Florida - I post it and we can identify a good place to meet.
Steve - your right Grand Haven is a great place to visit and to live. The lake just adds so much - yesterday was another beautiful day - and we walked the boardwalk along with all the other retirees!

Jeanette, we make a trip to MI almost every year. Usually just for a long weekend. We love Grand Haven.Last summer we stayed in Holland and went up and down the coast from there. We also like to visit Saugatuck. All those little coastal towns with their old money houses on those inlets are fun to visit.Sometimes we make it as far north as Mackinac. We like to stay across the bridge in St. Ignace. It is the little town that claims it is a " small drinking village with a fishing problem." We have been up to Whitefish Bay a few times. Grand haven is good for a long weekend because it is only about a four and a half hour trip. Last summer I got some great pictures of the light houses in the area.

Marcy We live near Grand Haven - about five miles from the lakeshore and the downtown. If you haven't been to Grand Haven - it is small resort town where the Grand River flows into Lake Michigan. So we have about a two mile boardwalk and pier along the river. We are 20 miles north of Holland,MI. We are here about 7 months of the year, then we head to St. Petersburg FL for November through April - so we avoid those MI winters and snow. When they talked about lake effect snow - we definitely get it in Grand Haven. One year my husband had to use the snow blower every day in December! I've been in Michigan for about 14 years.

John, I 'used' to be smarter than a 4th grader; when I was 6 years old I had the IQ of a 12 year old-------And I STILL do.

Dave Indy is great, it has continued to grow which is good. With the Super Bowl coming here in 2012 they are building another big hotel across from Victory Field.

John D: yeah, Broncs seem to be for real. One big difference from the last few years, and in common with the Super Bowl years, is that they haven't quit and are in the game till the last. Still some skeptics as they have a brutal schedule. Bucs are having a little trouble this year.

Hey Jim Just arrived home from school and checked my messages. It is good to receive a reply so quickly. I teach part time, three nights a week, for the local college. How is Indy? The last time I was there got lost with all of the freeways.
