3 Opticians are having a 10,000 frame sale, and a recycling yourNov old glasses to the lions clubs of 5 M 7 at the X CEL center on November 22nd and 23rd. 10 an to 5pm saturday,and sunday. Donate you glasses and receive a tax deductable voucher. This will be a anual event. I hope you will join are Eyewear sale and lions club recycle effort.

The Columbus Lions will be having their annual Fall Fest September 20th at the Columbus City Hall. Come join us for our fabulous Roast Beef sandwichs, garage sale and many other activies. I'm back and ready for a terrific year for 5M7. Wow, what a trip. Lots of work. Great fun. Interesting. Educational. What more could one ask of an International Convention. Next year will be even better, and all of you can attend.

Lion Glenn Muirhead's reviewal will be held Monday, June 2nd between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Methven Taylor Funeral Home, 10235 University Ave NE, Blaine, Minnesota 55434. Any Lions that care to pay their last respects are invited to come.

The Blaine Lions are sad to announce the passing of Lion Glenn Muirhead. Lion Glenn was a long time member of our club and his presence will be sorely missed. Funeral arrangements are not yet firmed up, but I will post the details here for any Lions that want to pay their last respects to Lion Glenn

It appears the tornado in Hugo and Coon Rapids didn't get any Lions, but there was a lot of damage and one small life was lost in Hugo. This is a good time for clubs in 5M7 to take a look at the LCI ALERT program for Lions to get involved to help their communities with all the other First Responders. Go to the LCI website at "Lionsclubs.org" and type in ALERT under search.

It appears that PDG Larry is going to be OK. After some testing and feeling better, he is home again.

I received a message from PDG Ken Steies today saying that PDG Larry Kounkel has been taken to the hospital with possible stroke symptoms. More information to follow when available

I spoke with DG Mary Ellen tonight and found out that PDG Clay Storley may come home tomorrow.

Do to the weather on Saturday the Livonia Twp. Lions canceled the Motorcycle "Ride for Better Vision" and rescheduled it for June 7th starting at 11am sign up, leaving KJ's Refuge Bar and Grill in Orrock at noon sharp. It will be a 114 mile run and all Bikers are welcome. If you need more information please contact me or e-mail cliffwelte@yahoo.com We are working with Sand Dunes A.B.A.T.E. Chapter from Orrock. There will be a silent auction and T-Shirts for sale.

Welcome to the new Message Board. This is for all members of 5M7. A great way to pass on current and up to the date news, such as the Spring Schools of Instruction for your new club officers. It looks like the school in Andover will not have a session for Tail Twisters. We were not able to find anybody that could do it. I'm sure there are people that could do it, but we just didn't know about them. Sorry.
