The Hanover Crow Rivers Lions are sponsoring a Golf Tournament on June 20 at the Fox Hollow Golf Club in St. Michael. It will be a 9 hole, shotgun start at noon. There will be a lunch at the Hanover City Park afterwards. Entry fees will be $200 per foursome with check-in at the course starting at 11:00. We would prefer that the foursomes be mixed but it is not a requirement. Please contact Lion Dave Schopper at daschopper@charter.net to reserve a place.

Just a reminder that the Grandy Lions will be having a pancake breakfast on Sunday April 26+th at the GRANDY COMMUNITY CENTER .The center is located on Isanti county road six a half mile west of Hwy. 65 just north of Cambridge.The procedds will be used as seed money for the rebuilding of the Grandy ballfield. The Grandy Lions will be serving from 8am-12:30pm. There will also be a silent auction with many sports related items. Just a few to mention. Joe Mauer signed jersey "AL o6 batting champ,
' Kirby Puckett signed 16 x 20 framed picture. Also signed Fran Tarkenton jersey, Purple People Eaters Quad Signed picture,Plus many more. Hope to see you there.

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION! A once in a lifetime opportunity. 600 volunteers are still needed.
Attend the INTERNATIONAL PARADE on Tuesday, July 7th. That night is the Beach Boys concert.
There is a need for over 100 PARADE MARSHALS. Transport Delegates from the airport to their hotels. (An SUV or Van is needed) Be a GREETER at the airport and help people get rides to their hotels. Be a HOST at a hotel. THE ONLY VOLUNTEER JOB THAT REQUIRES REGISTERING FOR THE CONVENTION IS SGT. AT ARMS INSIDE THE CONVENTION CENTER. MD5M blue snowman shirts are
required by all volunteers and they are $35.00. All volunteers will be give a special hat to wear.
These are reasons we join Lions. To volunteer and to SERVE. COME AND JOIN THE FUN. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I AM CONFIDENT THAT 5M7 WILL COME THRU.

April is the month for Club officer elections. As soon as you new officers are elected, send you
PU-101 to LCI and to me. This is needed for the 2009-2010 Multiple District directory. Be sure the information you submit is correct. Also, all newly elected club officers should attend the District
5M7 Spring School of Instruction. Membership committee members, tail twister, presidents and secretaries, and treasurers.

THE GRANDY LIONS ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE REMAINING SIX CHARTER MEMBERS OF OUR CLUB WILL EACH BE PRESENTED A MELVIN JONES AWARD AT OUR GOVENOR'S NIGHT ON APRIL 20TH. EACH HAVE AT LEAST 24 YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP IN OUR CLUB.

The first week of March, 5M7 will be conducting an Extension Workshop with the LCI Global Membership Team representative. He will be talking about forming new clubs and conducting a session on becoming a Certified Guiding Lion. The easiest way to do this is to build a new site hosted somewhere else. Then let me know the new site address and I will change the link on the 5M7 directory. How much if anything are you willing to pay for site hosting and annual registration fees? While there are sites that host for free, they are full of ads, some of them not appropriate for a community organization.
