Oh wait, I forgot to mention. Best part of the movie? SULU FENCING. But not just any ordinary Sulu fencing. Oh no. BADASS UNFOLDING SPACE KATANA VERSUS BADASS UNFOLDING SPACE BATTLE AXE FENCING. The term for that is not even "fencing." The term for that is "fuck yes."

Also, Bill, I'm quite convinced that your parody is the best internet parody of this movie I will ever read. At first I was going to put it in the top five, but the cat doody sent it right to Number 1.That opinion vociferously seconded here. Given how incredibly pissed off I've been at the online censorship issues I mentioned@LJ, I really appreciated how many times that made me sporfle. Aw, bless. :) There's this semi-remake of Dead Or Alive's "You Spin Me Round" by Flo Rida called, "Right Round," and when looking at the lyrics I was amused to read the line, "Shawty must know I'm not playin." Cos even if the intended meaning is different, I nonetheless prefer to believe that this merely indicates how Our Bill's fame has spread far and wide. ;) Though incidentally, have any of our friends in foreign lands tried using Imeem? Because at my behest, my buddy in Melbourne registered so she could hear the song that's been my primary pr0n-writing inspiration, and she said it would only let her hear part of the song. OMGWTFBBQ?! D=

BEBEH KITTEHS!!!!! *smushes Ginger & Taffy both* Though purely on aesthetic level, I'd pick the former just because once the latter gets to be full-sized, you could mistake him for Killsy in the dark. (Or at least that's the problem I've had with MOT on occasion, cos of only having one Dark Kitty and one Light Kitty before, and hence having occasionally mistaken him for Sophie in times of insufficient illumination...but I am frequently Blonde Like Dat, dontcha know.)
Still, you'll get to meet them first, right? I'd think that their actual personalities would be the real tipoff there, even if they're still in full-on Rambunctious Kitten Mode.
I've always thought La Beez was The Dork, because she SO fits that whole prototype of early maternal separation and inability to bond with other cats; she has tolerated les autres, but displays zero capacity play or snuggle with them (and in fact can barely do so with me). After that awesome-as-usual article, however, I've now realized that she merely views all other cats as being The Dork, LOL!

Don Juan was an epic poem written by Lord Byron. But Don Juan is a dumb name for a cat, while DJ is cool.
It's just continuity. If I'd got a girl, she would've been named Tura, after Tura Satana, the star of Faster, Pussycat! Kill! KIll!.

Don Juan is a cool name. *crosses arms* It means 'ladies' man'!
But yeah, sheesh, you woulda 'spected a pseudo eng. Literature student to know that. To be fair, I'm more oriented to translation.
And I might be translating games for Square-Enix soon! And I haven't even finished college.

Nah, I know what it means. When I was allowed to rechristen him by his foster mom, I said to him "DJ's short for Don Juan, but don't let that give you any ideas! You're still getting fixed!"
I shouldn't have said "dumb," but "a bit cliched." Seriously, is not a deejay cooler than a Don Juan, since he can be both at the same time?
And I might be translating games for Square-Enix soon!
...which is also very high on the coolness ratio!

New kitten! I seethe with jealousy. Well, not really. I seethe with wanting-news-and-photos. Hey, Admins! Target over here!! The Intertubes' Most Dangerist Cartoonist is frustrated that he isn't among the DA users being "unjustly" hassled by admins. He attempts to correct this by invoking Godwin's Law without understanding it.

Wow, that's some Daveyage! Bad spelling and grammar, paranoia, self-loathing, egotism, delusional thinking, "Goodwin's Law," and an astonishing premise (that the "fascists" will drag him away like they dragged the bedwetters to Auschwitz before they did the "Hebrews," and he wishes that they WOULD).
And, of course, rank hypocrisy. DA banned someone for only making child porn when Davey's seen worse (umm...not an admission even most perverts would make in public), while he only got his ED article removed as "hate speech" and "pornography."

Hahaha, It was the very first result in google images. There's a reason I don't even set foot in DA anymore. Too. Much. Goddamn perverted stuff. And no, I'm not talking 'kinky photographs of a redhead tied and dressed in latex' I'm talking of 'CARTOON characters SUPPOSED to be underage acting DIRTY'. Goddamn those people. Figures that Davey would 'stand up' for them. EDIT: I HTML gud

Well well, the world must move upon its axis And all mankind move with it, heads or tails And live and die, make love, and pay our taxes And as the veering wind shifts, shift our sails
Don Juan is a KICKASS poem. Also, that quote's from memory (English major, what can I say?) so it's probably wrong.

Factoid: He was named Byron after the poem that continually crept into my head as I watched young Kill Kill: "She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies." (digs out 475 page c.1890s copy of Don Juan purchased 30 years ago*; hopes to actually finish it this time) *For $3.

Thoughtty - DVK's post is even more hypocritical if you think about his "Burned Fur" days. Remember Burned Fur, the group that wanted to dissociate itself from furverts, in the process giving the worst elements of that fandom lots of publicity? Davey was one of their noisy hangers-on, yammering "Not in MY fandom!" Now he's complaining loudly about the injustice of people being banned from DA for furry child porn.
