Hi i have to retire from racing "unfortunately" So the kit has to go. I have a brand new Renn 575 disc with a 10sp dura ace 11-23 cassette this has only done 34 miles i am selling for £300 with a worn veloflex pave. I will be at the club tt's in my car with disc if anyone wants to view.
If anyone wants to ride tandem i can still steer and brake and provide loads of ballast downhill, just dont ask me to pedal Osteoarthritis in both knees is a bugger and bloody painful.

Congratulations to all of you. You had a dream day on a superb course. I'm gutted I didn't ride there today (saving myself for tomorrow) and preying that I get that fortune in the remaining events there. I think Dave R exactly matched his PB didn't he?

... a week later, same time, same place. This time the Corinium 10 on U47 - and this time there's no wind!! Three Dursley riders in the 80-limit field - and superfast times by all with a very competitive team performance. Dave Rudland is close to the Club record on his new fixed machine on 114ins: 20-24. Stu Berryman coming back to past form: 21-35. ... and me? this time I ride all the way out to the start - 22 miles - and ride my second-fastest ever time trial: 22-29, a massive PB on vets standard of plus 7-19. (PS: interesting to reflect that 45 years ago I did 25-03 with a top gear of about 90in at the age of 15 whilst today I rolled 54x11 all the way round apart from the start & turn !!) (PPS: hope the slightly revised course isn't short!!)

Not to be left out I thought I'd join the 10 mile club. I rode the Port Talbot Whls event on Sat. On what should be the fast R10/22 course. However, strong cross wind and hail on the way out, which turned into a full on head wind for the return put paid to any thoughts of a PB. My time was 25.19, not very fast but a full 1.5 mins on my best this year. Keep it up Dave you seem to be flying.

Bath 10, continued ... looking at the results I see that Stu Berryman also rode from DRC and recorded 22-48. Clearly it was a fast day with a high quality field. The flying winner in 19-23 - John Tuckett - looks like a rider to look out for in the Nationals, especially as he recorded 49-06 for a win on the H25/2 the following morning!

Couple of open 10 results: Oxford City 10 (26/4/08; in a strong southerly wind - but the right direction for this recommended h10/17R course just west of Oxford on the A420): I did 23-58 (first over-60 of several); fastest Peter Kench 21-05. Bath CC 10 (3/5/08; on the U47 with another southerly wind, but on what was a good day): 23-13 (a PB on standard, but in a full field a few Over 60s were ahead of me). Derek did 21-09.

Cycling Plus would like to write an article on club events and their staff will be at this Thursday's Dursley RC "10" !! One of them may well ride the event and a photographer will also be there. This is a great opportunity to advertise the club so let's have a good attendance with plenty of club kit on display. An example of a previous similar article by Cycling Plus can be seen at http://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/first_time_trial.asp See you Thursday. Mike

Now that the racing season is upon us, could someone send me the results of all Dursley riders for events that I do not attend? I will then submit them to the Gazette. Could you also include a description of the weather conditions. Cheers.
