Hi John, Joined argylls 1970 to A Coy Berlin then Royal Guard and Fort George. Transfered to 1 RHF B Coy Girdwood Park. There was 2 sets of twins and we were all about to go into town together when myself and the other McGaughey twin were switched to patrols. I knew Capt Watson and Jimmy Struthers at Crossmaglen with 6 Plt B Coy Argylls- Part of my duties was looking after the 2 messes, so served them their last meal. I transferred to the Royal Engineers in 77 and served til 86 as a Sgt. Now living in Copenhagen. Yours Aye Rob or Dangerous Danny Lynch

Hi Danny I don't remember the name but I do remember getting food at most times of the day in Crossmaglen. A hell of a place but the company was good. I have to hand it to you and the others for some good food after long patrols, usually at any time of the day or night. Long 8 hour patrols starting at 11pm and back for breakfast. Thanks for keeping us fed.

Aye Stu and it was good to see Davy Fallon getting such a good turnout at his funeral from muckers young and old from the Argyll family, and ten of us went down to the Legion afterwards and in good Argyll style gave him a good wake.
Ne Obliviscaris,
Sid.
