Neil whit memories that photo brings back wee Bidge and the Wolf were ma room mates in Osnabuck and Tam Houston aff his heid remember one morning we were all lying in a heap well hungover when the c.o.s. comes in with a mop and bucket and brush and dustpan and tells us all to get the midden that we were lying in cleaned up, Bidge got up and threw the lot back out in the corridor snecked the door and went back to bed, whit a cairry oan, was very vexed years ago when I heard Bidge had died as I didn,t get to the funeral he was one of the most comical and genuine guys I ever soldiered with.

This was left on my guestbook about a Jack Talbot. There was no age or dates of service - maybe someone knows or remembers him

"I received word from Adrian Talbot, son of Jack Talbot who was a member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regiment, that Jack passed away at his home in Motherwell on 2 May.
from
David Burns, Fairfax, Virginia.(Former member of 1st Cameronians and 1st Queen's Own Highlanders), 1962-1971."

jimmyc

A wee bit more info
"can you give me more information on Jack; dates with the Argyll’s, was he in Signals, date he left and rank. I did post a notice on the guest book but will be more than glad to add anything that will help his old comrades identify him. If you met Jack you would remember him. I had the pleasure of serving with him in the Cameronians. He and I were in Signals and were on the Queen’s guard at Ballater." Davy Burns
