Greg, I had hail damage also ($1920.00) I will take responsibility though, walking back into MHT probably unleashed the gods. If this was 4 or 5 thousand years ago we may have made the Bible, a cautionary tail, like Sodom and Gomorra.

Hello to all Alums and friends of MHT!

The pictures are starting to roll in! Many thanks to those who have submitted them. I know there are many more out there...

Please go to the MHTreunion.com home page and look for the photo link. Also, the local paper was there and put a couple great pictures on the front page of last weeks St. Louis Park SunSailor. You can see these pictures by clicking here. SunSailor Reunion Photos

More to come, I'm sure. I hope to be able to add some notes to the pictures on our site, but that will take some time.
Thanks again to all that attended...be sure to share the picture links with all your friends that may have missed the big event.

Thanks to all,
Tom

I want to thank and commend all who put together this reunion. It was everything I hoped for and it was certainly worth the trip. It was great to see again and talk with old friends and classmates. Unfortunately, it was over before I realized it and I failed to get a means to remain in contact, but then thats life. Perhaps someone could put together a contact list of those that attended and make it available at a later date. Umm, but then if your in the "witness protection program" perhaps not. Also, having not been back to the Mpls area for 50 years, wow, have things changed. St. Louis Park sure grew up from what I remember. Anyway, I had a great time.

Many thanks to the Reunion Committee for what had to be a lot of work to
host this event and give us an opportunity to catch up with old friends.
The loosening of the Heavens was a nice touch.
I am looking forward to seeing the slide show in a less hectic environment.
We could have used some Nuns to maintain order. They would have lined us up by height.

Hey classmates from 1959, Tom Ruhland (he's coming) just e-mailed me two GREAT picture of all 40 of us from 3rd grade?, Miss Fisher is/was our teacher in the photo, 15 boys and 25 girls are in it, also a classroom photo that's very clear. To get a copy, ya must come to the reunion, or E-mail me @ gamluxen@earthlink.net. Some of the classmates in the picture will test your memory, but with a name list you will get through it. Gilbert "Butch" Shane, David Heardsguard(sp), Charles(Tuck)Borke, Jerry Kiernan (RIP), and another boy I can't identify, maybe you can ? girls are Alex's Chudick(sp)2nd row far left, Patty Junken, Pat Murphy, are in the picture, but they didn't make it to the 8th grade with us. I can only recognize about 75% of the girls in the photo's, I need some help !! I'll make copies for the party. See ya all on Saturday !! Hi Mary "Hutchinson" Olson, I just filled your name into the 3rd grade picture, that Tom sent me. I'll always remember a "red Head", LOL, with you coming, and a few others, we'll be over 50% !! Good to hear from ya, Mary!!. Greg

Hello classmates of '59. I will be joining you at the reunion. It will be a trip down memory lane. Georgene its been a long time since the St. Louis Park joints (read 'parties') we had with the guys from West High School. John Heddle I remember your artistic ability and especially the pink and black car you drew as a kid... very cool. I wonder... are you into cars or art today? See you all on Saturday. Mary

Bob said Vic is comming, John shea married Jean Shaughnessy so if ya call her, ya may get two with one stone. Bonnie moved to FL., I will call her, as she lived in the same apt. as our first one, back in the 70's.(small world) I'll also try Dick Novack and Tom Ruhland. Bill Grehl can't make it, both Bob and I called him. Tom Haight is a "go". John Ladd is in town, but Bob's not sure if he's comming, so thats two more. I just got off the phone with Marty, Tom Ruhland, and Dick Novack their all going to try to make it, If they all come, we only need three more for 50% !! Bonnie Worts says to say "HI" to all her classmates, as she can't make it. Greg

Maybe we can get more to come.I will try calling some tonight. Thanks. Bob, for sure it is you, Greg, Bill, and John? No others were interested? Maybe they will come if they know we are getting people there and Steve said you can still come and order food too til tomorrow.

Hi Georgene, I do hope Jenny does come again, we were the only "outcasts there" and it was fun catching-up! If she comes that will make 8. I have just about all our classmates phone numbers including Jenny's. The name and address list I have came from a Steve Skaemer @ skraemer415@msn.com he's in ( or was in) the Parish and was helping the principal make a alumni list back in 5/22/06. E-mail me and I'll give ya phone numbers, or maybe Steve has a updated list? We had 12 boys and 18 girls in our class ( I think) gamluxen@earthlink.net good to hear from ya Georgene !! Greg

hey guys. This should be fun. Glad you are coming Molly. I haven't seen most of these people since grade school. Most of the girls went off to Holy Angels and I went to Park and our lives separated. Greg, don't you think Ginny Burns will come if she came to Beth's reunion. She was a good friend but I have no idea how to get a hold of her. We women lose our maiden names after we marry so it is hard to find us. So if you have any emails or phone numbers I will be glad to call or write. Also I won't be at dinner but will pay the 20$ to get in. I think it's too late for dinner. Maybe I can talk you guys into Park Tavern afterwards.I am excited!!Greg,I am still wondering what the dogs name was!I remember him though. Georgene

I remember those good ole day's.I remember breaking Father Brady's window's in his house a few times playing softball. Tearing holes in my new slacks on the asphalt which drove my mother crazy. Making butter, I believe was in the 3rd grade. My most trying grade was the 5th as I don't know if any of my classmates knew, but Sister Yvonne's last name was Bechtold as she was my Aunt on my fathers side. She kept me after school many, many times to try and make me smarter, but it didn't really help. She did teach me the responces so I could become an alterboy which I really enjoyed doing for 4yrs. I won't be able to make the reunion. Would LOVE to hear from classmates.Email jjretao1982@yahoo.com

Hi Georgene, Well now that makes 5 of us, Jenny Burns came to the 50th class reunion last summer with her sister Beth, so hope she'll be there, she looked great! you wouldn't need a picture to recognize Jenny. Eileen Connor moved some years ago, last I talked to her. I'll call Bob Baltes soon, and see if I can help. It will be fun to see ya. I'm sure you can still send in your money. Greg

I am hoping to still get to go. Haven't sent my money in. Saw all the postings from you guys from the class of 59'. Are any of the girls coming? Molly-you left me a message but then your message fell off my cell before I got a chance to call you back. Do you know who all is coming. I am looking forward to it. You boys sound the same as ever. Wish this website had our class pictures on it. Need to be reminded what we all looked like. Should be fun. See you there. Georgene

Reading all these messages sure brings back a lot of memories. I graduated 8th grade in 1954 and started MHT in first grade so it's been a long time since I walked down that memory road. I remember Father Brady and Father Tom at the parish. Sister Leeann too, who was truly a gentle soul. I remember the year that Eisenhower ran for office and how our class divided down political lines....good stuff. Hope to be able to come for a walk down memory lane.

Thanks to the Saint Louis Park Sailor Newspaper, I saw the notice while visiting my son. It's been a loooong time since kindergarten in 1945 and a brand new school. The neighborhoods were quite new, but look much the same today. I remember the fun and good times, but have forgotten most names but remember Shelia for one. Sister Veronica is an outstanding memory. Still have holy cards that were given for homework in her class. Did Mary Caroline Bock go to school there? She was our next door neighbor, but a couple years older. Does anyone remember the dog at the rectory. The Sisters were a fun loving group. After 3 years we moved to Glen Lake and IHM, another brand new school. This year I am working on the 50th Reunion of Anoka High School, yet another first time student in a new building. Best wishes on the grand event. Karen

To the MHT class of '79, enjoy the weekend festivities. Although I cannot make the reunion, I will be wishing I was there reliving fond memories from grade school. Hopefully the class of '79 will have a tremendous turnout. A few names from the past to get the stories started, Mrs. Wenberg, Ms, Hutton, Ms. Cunningham, Fr. Macnulty, Mr. Deinama, Mrs. May. and of course my favorite Mrs. Swedzinski. Be sure to make a sign of the cross when you hear the sirens.

Regards,

Hello! My sister Mimi, and I were at MHT only one year,'48-49, before having to go to OLG, our parish school. I had Sr. Leeann Merz OSB that year. She made a big difference in my life and unknowingly planted the seed of my wanting to be a sister. I kept track of her all these years and still visit her at St. Paul's monastery where she is. I ended up a Visitation Sister and now am in north Mpls. with seven other Vis nuns! Hope to be at the renunion. Anyone else from that third grade classroom coming? Sister Katherine Mullin

Hi to Mary Jo Grisham Faustgen and my classmates from the class of '69: I'm sorry to have to miss the reunion, it should be quite a party. I especially remember Sr. Victor in 1st grade, Mrs. McGuire for 5th grade (we were in her class when the announcement came that Kennedy was shot) and Sister Dorothy for 7th grade (who rapped me on the head for daydreaming in math class). Now I get paid for daydreaming, I'm an interior designer! God's blessings to all of you, have a wonderful time! Marlene --from Los Angeles (Glendale), CA.

WARNING:Jim Reinhardt posted on the previous page that he wants to play tetherball. DON'T FALL FOR IT! He has a tetherball setup in his backyard and raised nearly a dozen children (I believe I heard him once say "Clean your room or I'll trounce you so badly in tetherball, you won't be able to face your friends for a month!" or something like that). And if you win the first few games and Jim wants to make it interesting (read:$$$)- just walk away and go play some foursquare - but not with Martha McHugh. You see Martha has a 16' x 16' standard regulation ...

I don't see any other 1960 grads except for the guy (Jerry Wall) who won't make it. I'm not local but I do remember some names from my class -- Jill Dovenberg, Mary Devine, Bill Sweeney, Dennis Whalton, Barbara Moss, Nancy Roubik, Mary Rompage, ...like I said -- not local ;-)

I'm thinking of making the trip from Chicago but I'd hate to do it and not see anyone from my class.

I think I've already missed the deadline -- any 1960 classmates going to the reunion?

I certainly do remember Sister what's her name..all the girls ripped their uniforms and I think that's what started the whole "no graduation" thing. I don't really see anybody else from MHT although I do see Barb McGlynn from time to time. Or, possibly I do see them and just don't recognize them!!!! See you there!!!!

Classmates from 1964 & the previous 7 years are any of you planning to be there? Were we the only class who never had a real graduation? Remember old Sister what's her name walked out on us, "I never wanted to teach...".
Mostly wonderful memories though & I look forward (along with my brother Pat (MHT '62) to being a part of the MHT reunion!

(This is her husband, Hal, writing for her- she still doesn't like these infernal machines that we call "computers.") Penny (Margaret C. Hibben) married her highschool sweetheart in 1961 and hasn't kicked him out of the nest yet. We retired in 2003 and, in an attempt to get away from the Minnesota winters, bought some land in Mississippi and had a house built for us. We live out in the country with our nearest town being Oxford, Mississippi- home of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and the site of the first Presidential Debate that will be held in September. We both enjoy excellent health. Pen has many fond memories of her classmates and the time that she attended, and worshipped, at Most Holy Trinity. Her email address is Penny@stoenworks.com and our home page is www.stoenworks.com She regrets that she will be unable to attend the MHT reunion.

To all the third graders at MHT for the years 1958-59. Greetings from your teacher. I'm retired now and live with my husband(you came to our wedding) in Nehalem , Oregon. I am Marlene, Margaret,(Penny) Dewey and Dean Hibben's sister. Some of you will remember me as your babysitter before I graduated from St. Kates. I am sorry to miss the reunion. I will be in Mpls., the first part of May, but leave on the 18th. I have been back to MHT every year to visit my family and hold many fond memories. There were 49 of you in my class and I still have all your pictures. Special blessings to you all.

This sounds great ! It'd be fun to get the class of 68 together on the Friday beforehand. I'm trying to talk Joy Phelps into organizing something. Do you think they'll serve "creamed tuna" on toast for the dinner ?

Wow...lets see. I graduated in 1956, moved away to St. Louis in 1959 and haven't been back since (I hate winter, it's too cold up there). My wife and I were kinda planning a trip back up to Minneapolis and thru Wisconsin when this came up so it kinda played right into our plans. I don't remember as much as I would like but I do remember the first year or two of school in the basement, the basement church with the low ceiling with all the nails sticking down and bent over. And then the fancy new school and the church. and thinking about it,I think my knuckles are still affected by that ruler from the nuns, numerous times. But I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing how things have changed and hopefully jogging my memory some.

Dear Alums
If you haven't been back to MHT for some years, the trip is worth it just to see once again the magnifigant stained glass windows in the church. As I kid I remember staring at them (perhaps during the sermon) but never appreciated their real beauty. Each month was specificately designed for that time in church history. I think they are breath taking.
I look forward to seeing everyone, especially the class of '54.

Too much time has passed since I've seen my grade school friends of MHT! Years of OUTSTANDING Basketball, softball, teather ball while waiting for the bus, Mr P's "pick to click",(do you remember the song, "Hey Paula?") Snow/king of hill wars, all those snow forts we dug, only to be trombled on by "you boys know who you are....Joe Battaglia,Phil Harrington, Phil Sweetser"! Mr.Fenne locking some of us in girls bathroom before church, I guess we were talking and laughing a little too loud! Cant wait to see all! and to share memories!!

I'm from the class of '58 and hope to see all of my classmates at the reunion on Saturday and also at the one for just our class at the Park Tavern on Friday night. We've had quite a few responses to the questionaire we sent out, but still would like to hear from all of you. For those of you who haven't responded, please get them in the mail. I'll be calling everyone starting the week of the 14th of April so expect to hear from me. We'd like to do a memory book and would like to have everyone either send or bring a current picture of themselves so we can do a before and after in the book. We're going to include the pictures, mementos and pictures from our school time and other reunions. See you there.

I hope to see a lot of our class at the Reunion. Maybe we could play tetherball (I bet I could beat Martha!) or have a softball game in the parking lot with Mr. P.
