I chose this topic because we have been learning about the muscles. I thought it would be interesting to learn about this disease.

-Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research or better know as mayoclinic put this site together. It explains the disease, its signs and symptoms, when the person should seek medical attention, the diagnosis and treatment, and how to cope with having the disease.

-This site is from The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. It tells what MD is, what causes it, how many people have it, how it affects muscles, how MD’s differ, how its diagnosed and treated and research that is being done.

-NewScientist.com news servie Debora Makenzie posted this site. It is about stem cell reversing MD. They tried it in dogs and said it has helped them walk again. They are hoping for a similar approach in humans.

I like the personal touch to the first website. The stories are heartfelt and it's a great community for those suffering with the disease. Sometimes threads like this can be tedious and people become very bothered by something little, and I sort of sense that in this page. I like the personal touch, though.

The second website is too brief for me! I want more information! I love the trial and information behind it, but want to know more about how it will relate to humans and what their hopes are.

The third website

I absolutely loved your first, starting from the bottom up, website. It was the message board that grabbed me. People willing to help out someone in need is really great. I liked this personal air you had on the subject, made me want to read more.
The second one, it did not have very much info and did not explain all I wanted to know on MD. It seemed to be a great website if one just wants the basics however.
The third one is a great website to have that I have used for many projects and papers. It has always seemed to have a great deal of info and I love it. Good job on this one.
MayoClinic is another website I have used. It's info is used quite often in other sites, and repetition ensues, but it is still a good one on many disorders.
Awesome Job!

Whitney, interesting topic and websites. You do a pretty good job of telling us who is posting and why. the heatlhboards site is not really a blog but a public forum with lots of different contributors...not all from one patient. this would make an interesting minor website to review. The Mayo Clinic and NINDS are obviously major websites that you could review. Your peers provide more detailed feedback...I have nothing to add there.
I didn't see any peer feedback from you,
LF
