NWABA partners with WA Dept. of Services for the Blind
To sponsor Conference for Blind Youth

(Vancouver, Washington) The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind to co-sponsor the 6th Annual Conference for Blind Youth in conjunction with the Washington Council of the Blind’s conference on October 23-25th, 2008.

“Through this event we hope to showcase the adaptations and sporting activities for the Blind and Visually Impaired” said Billy Henry, Regional Programs Director “We invite all blind and visually impaired youth in the State of Washington to take part in this exciting opportunity.”

About NWABA: The Mission of the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) is to encourage blind and visually impaired athletes to participate in sporting programs. This will be accomplished by giving out scholarships to our members, and organizing regional sports teams. NWABA will support athletes of all ages without regard to race or religion.
