I can't seem to get on it the maratech program keeps shutting down on me. I am going to try and reinstall it but if that takes too long I will just work on the slides I started. If someone could email me an update on what is going on that would also be great.

I signed onto Marratech and the only room in use is full with 3 people using the room. Is that the room we are meeting in?

John, your blog is great! Looks like you've done a lot of research. The concept map is a great beginning. Hopefully we can add onto it tonight. I think our best bet is to use the google docs and work together on the powerpoint. See you tonight!

Thanks John. I've been learning more about del.icio.us all this time. We can all add each other to our networks and so we can view each other's bookmarks. Then we could tag the links we find for this project by say Warm-up2 or Group-F. I'll check out your links now.

John, I like your map so far. I was wondering how do I check your tags on your del icio us account? I wanted to check out some of the sites for our project.

I started a map dealing with the behaviors of communities as they move from hostile to friendly human relations. The key to creating peaceful communities is to foster the behaviors on the left of the map while discouraging those on the right. It is also my opinion(and many other peoples)that there are three main contributing factors to communities where violence, crime and corruption are prevalent: Poverty Lack or poor quality of education Despair (No hope for a future) Communities that can keep these things away have a good chance of remaining productive and peaceful. I thought maybe some of these topics could help us in how we structure or focus our attention in this project. John B try the link below to see my mindmeister map <iframe width="600" height="400" frameborder="0" src=" http://www.mindmeister.com/maps/public_map...0&height=400&zoom=1" scrolling="no" style="overflow:hidden"></iframe>

I have collected a lot of links to websites that might apply to our project I tagged them using del icio us account. You all can see them and check out some of the sites. (A few of the tags are not related to the project. The newsday link is to the page from this Sunday's edition of kidsday that my class created!)

Sorry, just one more thing. I guess we should think about what concept mapping tool we want to use. I went to the workshop last week on concept mapping. Inspiration and mindmeister may be ones for us to consider. Why don't you guys check them out. Let's all give suggestions as to which mapping we want to use out of all of them

It sounds like we all have some great ideas. Boy do we make a great team! I am looking forward to speaking with everyone tomorrow night to discuss this further. Have any of you looked at the google documents? These programs are new to me, so I guess that's why I find them so fascinating. Unless I am mistaken, I think we will get plenty of use out of google documents (while working on the powerpoint) I hope you're all having a great weekend

8pm is fine with me. I think we have some good ideas, we just need to organize and pull them together. When I was in HS we had a support group called Teans in Touch. We were each trained and then able to reach out to others in need. It was a great program. It might be a model to follow if we decide to set up a support group.

If were going to be dealing with multiculturalism mabey we could have a student or students from another country for some streaming live interviews. Like a pen pal but utilizing the tech on hand to have groups face to face.

Thank you Jane for your support, we can create a wiki for the support group for those kids that don't want to be know. I think John had a great website to go to about tolerance. John can you post the website that you mention during the online class. Thanks
