I POSTED THIS NOTE AT THE BEGINNING OF LAST FALL'S SEASON. I'M GUESSING THE FEES AND THE DATES THIS YEAR WILL PROBABLY BE ABOUT THE SAME.

I'LL POST UPDATES AS I RECEIVE THEM.

LAST YEAR'S NOTE:
I paid the park district fees today, and we are on our way to the fall season.

We will play Tuesday nights, and all our games will be doubleheaders.

I'll post the schedule here when I get it. Meanwhile, mark your calendar for September 4, which is the date for the first game.

Your fee to play is $20, and if you are a non-resident there is an extra $15 fee. You can pay me at the first game, if we aren't able to practice before then. Please email me now to let me know if you are in district or out of district.

Also, send me a note (danhughes@juno.com) listing the positions you like to play in order of preference, and let me know if there are positions you hate to play.

Since we are playing doubleheaders, everyone who shows up will get to play at least one full game each night, even if we have 15 or 20 on the roster. And everyone will play equally, with everyone sitting out their turn, regardless of skill level.

Your thoughts on possible practices? Wednesday mornings at 10 at Dexter will continue; would we get enough if we tried a Sunday afternoon?

What else should we be talking about? Feel free to post notes on this board. When a note is posted here, everyone on the team gets it in their email (as you received this one).
