I think this review is very brief but all topics are covered the only thing I see that you missed is your signature at the end of the review.

In this review for National Alopecia Areata Foundation I found the title and explaination of the website. I also found the two best features but there was nothing on the two worst features. You may want to include this for full credit, also make sure that you include your signature at the end of your review.

In this review also, I didn’t find your view or opinion of it. There was also no signature here either.
I felt like the rest of the information was there, but with the two things you liked best, you could have had links to them.
Another good topic!

In this review, I didn’t feel like you gave a general view of the web-sites value or your opinion of it. Also, I liked your two best features, but didn’t see any reference to the two worst features. You also didn’t sign it, telling who wrote this review.
I really liked that it was a nice length, not too long, not too short. I did feel like you could have expanded more on how this topic relates back to our studies in A&P.
You picked a great topic, I found it very informative

National Alopecia Areata Foundation
This website is posted by a foundation that study mainly about Alopecia Areata. Because patients suffer from Alopecia Areata physically and mentally, they provide lots of helpful information and friendly service, such as a pen pal system in order to cheer them up. This website covers most questions that patients want to know, such as what causes Alopecia Areata or how patients can deal with it. Also it offers extra information of Alopecia Areata for requests.

This website relates with what we learned about the structures of hair in class. Although this disease is not understood fully, the autoimmune system in patient’s body breaks the follicles of hair in particular circumstances.

The page that I like the most is http://www.alopeciaareata.com/kids/kids.asp
In this page, children and their parents who suffer from Alopecia Areata can get to know other people who face same situation by the pen pal program, and they cheer each other up.
Moreover, what I liked about this website is they update with recent study from professors in University or from research center directly.
http://www.alopeciaareata.com/research/research-announce.asp
For instance, Vera H. Price MD, who is in University of California, San Francisco, updated her study. I think this entire website is really helpful to understand what Alopecia Areata is.

However, it needs more specific and technical information to understand in anatomical point of view.

Emedicine from webMD
http://www.emedicine.com/derm/topic14.htm
Chantal Bolduc, MD, FRCPC wrote this website and covered about Alopecia Areata, He especially covers the medical care and history of this disease. This website is for people who are involved in medical services because lots of technical words and experiemts are shown to prove the facts of Alopecia Areata. This website also provides pictures of Alopecia Areata patients.

Although other websites have said that nerves have nothing to do with this disease, Chantal says that peripheral nerves are involved with Alopecia Areata because patients claim pain in affected area. Therefore, we can put our knowledge about the relationships between hair and its nerves into account.

What I liked in this website is there are detailed explanation of drugs, such as dosage, contraindications, and precautions. In addition, pictures that show how to treat Alopecia Areata by injection is what I found the most interesting.
On the other hand, what I don’t like is there are too many difficult and technical words. Also, this website is packed with much information; thus, it is difficult to find the information what I want to know.

Shiori, interesting topic and you have found some fascinating websites.

I think you should review the eMedicine or MedicineNet article as one of your lesser websites since the other are major institutions and these articles are written by individual doctors.

Your peers have provided more good feedback and I have little to add.

Very interesting topic. Its good to know that hair regrowth is possible. I found this website to be very detailed with a lot of information regarding your topic. I also liked the fact that there was a place where you could request more information. I think there could have been more pictures.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hair-loss/DS00278/DSECTION=3
This topic was from a respectable source but far to brief on the topic of Alopecia Areata. This was more on hair loss in general.

http://www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Alopecia_Areata/default.asp
I liked this wesite because it has a lot of information regarding the topic as well as ways to cope if you have alopecia areata. I also liked the fact that there is a glossary ezplaining terms that not all people are familiar with.

Good quality information and presented adequately. I liked the many images used for description. I felt like the treatment descriptions were lengthy but very informative. It was a very long article. The drug information was over powering.

www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Alopecia_Areata/default.asp
The quality of information was great. I felt like it was very inclusive. It answered questions I didn’t know I had. The research it described was impressive. I wish it had shown picture examples. I didn’t find much negative about it.

www.mayoclinic.com/health/hair-loss/DS00278/DSECTION=3
I didn’t feel like the information in this site was directly related to the subject, although it touched on it briefly. I liked that it was short. It had examples of hair loss of many kinds. There wasn’t enough information on the subject of Alopecia Areata.

www.alopeciaareata.com/requestinfo/faq.asp
I felt the quality of the information was good and was presented in an orderly way. I liked that there were brochures available for children and there understanding of the condition. It also had some good picture examples. The looks of the site were boring, too simple.
By Caroline Hartley, thanks.

This site is written by Zoe Diana Draelos, MD, PA. It tells us general and brief topics about Alopecia Areata; what cause alopecia areata, and who is affected by this disease. This site is good to understand alopecia areata easily and quickly.
