Clevland Clinic website:
This website provides a good overview of Parkinsons disease and specifics about symptoms and treatment. This seems like it would be a good website for someone suffering from Parkinsons disease and looking for a provider, because of the ease of making an appointment from the website. I wish the website incorporated more graphics.
NYU Medical Center website:
This link did not work correctly, but when I searched the website I was taken to
http://www.med.nyu.edu/patientcare/library...html?ChunkIID=11632Which provided some information about Parkinsons disease and a lot of in-depth information about treatment options. This website provided good information, but was not presented in a reader-friendly way. I would have liked for the website to incorporate more graphics. This was a more academic approach to talking about the disease because it comes from a medical school.
We Move website:
This website provides substantial information about Parkinsons and other movement disorders. I especially liked the link to the videos What if… that demonstrate what it is like to suffer from many movement disorders including Parkinsons disease. I also think the open chat room is a great thing for people suffering from movement disorders looking for support from others who understand what they are going through. My only criticism of this website is a lack of graphics.
NINDS Parkinsons disease website:
As I said before, this website is a great resource for information about Parkinsons disease and up to date research. The side links to related NINDS publications provide extensive information about what NINDS is doing to combat and understand Parkinsons disease. The featured link: Parkinsons Disease: Challenges, Progress, and Promise, is also a fabulous resource for Parkinsons disease information.
