LOL! Man, reeled you in like a big old carp! No, "Y-Knot?" is NOT for sale, (well, maybe for the right price). No this is a real nice C-22 MK-II that is 2 years newer than "Y-Knot?", that I picked up from a gentleman having some health issues and has to quit sailing. The MK-II versions are the choice in the C-22's for comfort, room,(wider hull than the standard C-22's), stability, and performance,(the wing keel is from the Capri-22 line),which also means zero keel maintenance, and easy to launch because they only draw 6" more water than the swing keel version with the keel up. Honda 5 HP with the battery charger also included. Easy to rig singlehanded with the factory mast raising system. When Catalina Yachts moved out of California last year, they discontinued the MK-II version. They got a bit pricey with a new MK-II with a trailer and outboard pushing $35K. Someone is going to get a REAL nice pocket cruiser.

Wish I could. Looks like a really nice boat, and is what I was looking for in the first place, but not now. No more hard cash to throw about, except on my boat, which is having the trailer brakes reworked now.

Oh No! ACT III went up for sale (sail). Help me buy Don Diego's Knot Again. It's posted on Portland's Craigslist. This is not (knot) you're normal WR17. Much custom aluminum machining work (all anodized to match factory aluminum) including Vaka Benches, motor spray shield and enlarged rudder post wing for the back up hand steering loop (steer from anywhere in the boat when you don't want to use the foot pedals. 2012 Honda 2.3 and a trailer that is way better than the stock one (hot dipped galvanized, bigger, stronger, larger wheels, self lug hubs, etc. Check out the craigslist add and give me a call for the whole story. Boat was never wet until I put it in (even though it's official an '07) so boat and motor are really one year old. jghughes1 at mac dot com.

Doug & Katie. What a trip! By the distance you give, they should be right above the Bay of Biscay, which can be pretty agitated. They may skirt it off by the North unless they need to land (Brittany?). Envy the adventure, but heaving to at 20 knots in heavy seas...they'll need all that rhum they may have gotten in the Azores...

Cheers, Albert

Now for some sailing news to distract us. Katie's brother Adrian has been on a sailing adventure for the past few weeks. He and a friend joined a third friend in the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa in late April to help him bring back a 34 ft sailboat to South West England. Their first stop was in the Azores where the third member of the crew decided not to continue on. Adrian and the boats owner continued on and we have been getting daily location reports. Most of the reports have indicated heavy seas, high winds and cold and damp conditions but all OK. This morning's report says that they did 220 nautical miles in the past 24 hours and they are now hove-to in 22 knot winds and heavy seas. They are currently 370 nm from home. I suspect after that crazy run they are both catching up on some sleep! As Katie's other brother Stuart, who you all met in 2012, says, "It sounds like an adventure better remembered than actually experienced!"

Thanks for that Sean. My mom's side of the family is all from near OKC and I know they have been spending most of their time near their storm shelters and watching the weather closely. They will certainly know victims and possibly we will as well.

An Evening of Silence Tonight

HPCC family. Please honor an evening of silence tonight on our message board. Take this evening think of those in crisis in the Midwest and reflect on the blessings we all share in our lives. The news from the Tornado stricken area continues to worsen as the gravity of the situation becomes apparent.

God bless all those that have suffered incredible loss....the innocent that have perished....and God Bless those charged with handling the aftermath. The job that faces them will tax them beyond what should be humanly possible. Yet they will persevere even though doing so will change some of their lives forever.

Not one person affected today had any clue mere hours ago, that their lives would be change forever in an instant. I will give Jo and extra big hug today.

If you are not already aware there has been a terrible tragedy again in Moore Oklahoma. A Massive tornado has devastated the area including numerous schools. The devastation is beyond comprehension. Reports are the that numerous schools were sheltering the children in place...when they took direct impacts. The tornado was immense.

Please say a prayer for everyone involved.
