Allison, only one of your sites opens as a live link and it seems to me an interesting major non-profit with good educational information. Be sure you tell for each site who is posting it and why. Your peers did try and open the other sites and have provided some feedback. LF

MSLifelines: I found this website to be okay. I like the fact that it offers support for people living with MS and that it gives a lot of information about what MS is, how its diagnosed, what treatment options are available, etc. The only problem that I see with this site is that the information presented may or may not be accurate. National MS Society: Again, the information presented in this website is very informative and explains the disease, how its treated, etc. I especially liked the section dedicated specifically to people who live with MS; it gives a lot of information about how people living with MS cope and how people who are recently diagnosed can get help. MayoClinic.com: I really like this website because it comes from one of the most credible medical resources. I also like the fact that it has so much information on the disease. I think that the only thing really wrong with this information is that it has not been updated since December, 2006. Daily Strength: I like that this website lists a Recent News section that has to do with MS in the news. I also like the fact that the website allows for videos of the members; it shows that these are real people discussing these topics instead of some faceless nobody. Im not sure how well this website relates to the topic, since about half of the discussions do not relate to MS. Thats my only problem.

MSLifelines site:
Very informative. This site is great because it gives you information about how to manage it, options you can discuss with the doctor, and different events you can attend. Its not that I dislike it but I don't understand why you have to register or log in to this page. Is there more information provided to those who do log in?
National MS society site:
Good site once again it gives great information. It is very cool it gives all the information in spanish too! Once again why is there a log in???? Can't I look at this site without feeling just a little guilty for not donating???
Mayo site:
Like that it is from a credible site. And still is very informative. I'm finding that it is repetative with all the other sites. That's my only negative comment.
Dailystrength site:
That's great you can talk to people who are living with MS and get the support you need. Downfall for me I want to see my support group.

http://www.mslifelines.comThe education that this site offer was great. The information on Multiple Sclerosis and treatment options were outstanding I could find just about anything I wanted on this site. Not a lot of personal stories however it did offer some support groups for contact. Nice choice.. www.nationalmssociety.orgOn this site I found it to be more goal oriented towards raising money for the cure of MS. Dont get me wrong thats great and all. It offered some stories and treatment options that were available to Ms patients. It was well put and nice to read It did offer the news media on MS and I found that very well put also. www.mayoclinic.com/health/multiple-sclerosis/DS00188 The Mayo Clinic, is another widely used website. I work in the emergency room and use it for reference all the time. It offers a-variety to just about anything your looking for. Most of the topics coved under MS were nicely put and the treatments plans they made available were endless. I like this site and use it all the, time you can never run out of information on this webpage… www.dailystrength.org/support/Brain_Nervous_System/Multiple_Sclerosis_MS/ I just love the personal stories. This site was neat in how it offered a personal chat room how cool. So many people with MS cant even leave there homes and to be able to communicate with people everyday living with the same disease is awesome.

MS Lifelines: Site #1
I like that this site seems to offer a lot of support for MS sufferers, including personal stories, local seminars, etc. Also, it gives an overview of what MS actually is, including symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments. I disliked that if you look under the Terms of Use section, the site does not guarantee accuracy and states that the information is intended for U.S. residents only.
National MS Society: Site #2 There is a ton of information about MS on this site. You can even find a list of symptoms with ideas on how to manage them. I also think its neat that they provide a list of other sources, such as books, for further information. I didnt really find anything that I disliked.
Mayo Clinic: Site #3
This was a great overview on the disease and how it affects the Nervous System. I like that it also made videos available to watch on different exercises to cope with the disease. I think this website could be confusing to maneuver because it caters to many other conditions besides MS. I also disliked that when you look at the topic under the Diseases and Conditions section, if you didnt know MS affected the Nervous System, you might not find information about the disease.
Daily Strength: Site #4 I think its really neat that they give a list of treatments and descriptions, showing how many people reviewed the treatment and its help rate. I also like that you can view video journals of members and connect with them as real people, not just the other side of the computer monitor. I disliked that when you looked at the Discussion Topics, they seemed to not relate at all to Multiple Sclerosis. In addition, it seemed overly general, geared for support, but not specifically MS.

I chose the topic Multilpe Sclerosis because one of my family members was thought to have had symptoms of this disease. From there I statrted to research the facts about the disease in depth. What I found out about Multiple Sclerosis was very interesting.
