Nip/Tuck season 5 ended poorly in my view. I am a big fan of the show and have kept up with it since season 1. I didnt like the ending for season 5 where the crazy lady stalked Dr. McNamara and wounded up stabbing him several times in the O.R. while Annie was under anesthesia and Liz went to fetch gauze and tape. Sean was left on the floor bleeding to death and that woman stood over him with a bloody knife. I hope next season does better and will have a happier ending. P.S. I didnt like Julia going into a coma and waking up not remembering anyone either. And whats the deal with Matt having a sister and liking her? I dont know.

The new season starts on Jan 2009. I don't know exact date, but I do know in January. It's only going to be eight episodes. Then another season won't start till sometime in 2010.

Speaking of missing characters, where did the publicist go (can't remember her name)? She completely disapeared from the show without any explanation.

This is yet another example of how badly written this season is.

Another missing character and this one showed promise, was that dominatrix played by Tia Carrere. When Sean was left staring at the card she gave him, it looked like she might turn up later in the season. But no, the writters prefered to introduce characters like Colleen (which everybody loves to hate) and Miss Melba Toast.

I agree with katiekatie. The show, though I am avid viewer, has lacked the original elements as you said. I definitely do miss the original episodes where Sean and the fam are at home and dealing with all of Christians whore-escapades. It was a much simpler time, but a good time!!! LOL.

I know I keep bringing this up BUT doesn't it seem weird that NOBODY is trying to fight Kimber from pretty much illegally not letting Matt see Jenna - but they still will operate on her - even though originally after that one surgery that Christian did she said Matt could have the baby? Season 5 seems to be missing the elements that got us hooked on Nip/Tuck in the first place. Sean as a family man, Christian as a smooth operator, and interesting medical cases. It is fun and comletely outrageous, but I don't mind missing an episode now.

Season 5 was utterly ridiculous and over the top, but that's why we as viewers continue to watch it, no matter how much we complain about it. I thought there was too much going on, and the writers did a poor job of tying up loose ends. But I will give them one thing - just when you think they won't go "there", they do! How many more f'ed up relationships does poor Matt have to endure? How freaky is the Colleen character? I will never be able to watch old episodes of QAF ever again! And if Shawn lives through this brutal stabbing, shame on the writers - there was a gallon of blood pouring out of his mouth! I tripped and fell when I got off my couch because my jaw was dragging on the floor!

I just watched the last epsiode. I've watched nip/tuck since the very first episode of the very first season and I'm still in shock after having watched season 5. It went from bad to plain pathetic.

Even tough I believe that either they changed screenwriters or the old ones are on crack, they just can't kill Sean. There is no show without him. Even if they wanted to add more of that pathetic attempt at drama we've been watching for the whole season, they wouldn't pick such a lame set for Sean's stabbing and let alone that tacky music (I hope...) The whole scene looks and feels so absurd and out of place that it must be some kind of dream or something like that. Also, why are they making the plot so predictable?!!! The moment Liz leaves the room you just know something bad is going to happen! I was watching it and was thinking "'cmon, lets get on with it so that I can go to bed".

As for Julia, if the producers have some brains left, they will give Julia her memory back and get rid of Eden. I believe most viewers are tired of her, no matter how hot and sexy she may be.

Finally, a request to the people who write and produce Nip/Tuck: Stop turning my favourite show into some cheesy "South American soap opera LA style"!!!!!!!!!

remember Ollie is a accu puncturist... i think eden cofessed the whole thing to her mommy and she stuck a needle somewhere in julias head so that she wouldnt remember anything... not sure if thats really possible but hey... anyway remember right after julia woke up eden had to talk to her mommy abou t something and then all of a sudden ollie was the first one there at julias side... anyone agree...

I have been watching this show for a long time and I am a big fan although I find laughter in the fact that the kids are always missing and then they reappear. Annie seems to be around more this Season but where the hect is that other kid with the "physical deformity?" I think his name is Aiden but I can't remember.

Where is the "other son?" Who takes care of this kid and where is his living. He wasn't at Ollie's or Sean's houses.

Nip/Tuck is getting worse since the end of Season 2 and this season was ALL just pure crap, plain and simple. Many many many reasons not worth listing...

Season 5 was a huge letdown. Poor writing. Weak story lines. The season finale was terrible. I think Nip/Tuck has run out of ideas. Don't be surprised if the series is canceled.

well everybody is making good points about this episode,im out of idea's,so we all know that there will be amazing twist to this next season,wth colene on the loose,the carver still out there,eden after julia,im just completley pumped up for season 6

one more- as far as the car wreck- the truck hit the julian and annie on the passenger's side- and somehow julian ended up with a broken and arm and annie just a few cuts- highly unlikely. That's why i'm going back to my dream theory. it's all a big dream sequence!

Just a thought that is wayy out there, but maybe Sean dreamed this crazy thing because of post-traumatic stress because Annie really died in the car accident. I don't know, but that looked like a too bad of a wreck to just have a gash on the forehead. Especially when it hit on her side.

I don't think Eden confessed to the mercury poisoning. After she shot Julia, she had time to hide/destroy the lab report that Julia received. You know, the one that said the fruit cake contained mercury.

Okay, maybe Eden told her Mom that when she tried to pull the gun away from Julia (which is a lie) that she accidentally shot Julia in the process. Then she tells her Mom that she is afraid Julia is going to tell everyone that Eden shot her. But she pleads with her Mom that is was all an accident and then pleads for her Mom to help her.

i'm thinking she only admitted to the poisoning, maybe by accidentally. but you know julia did have an afair with julian on olivia- so maybe olivia would try to hold julia back from fully recovering. i just don't think she owned up to the shooting

Robbie is right. We never really did hear Eden confess anything. All she said was, Mommy, I did something bad/horrible. So we don't know what she said. But I'm pretty sure Olivia is covering something up.

But i do agree about the kids why were they even put in the episodes to be being with if there was not going to be more about them. I have been watching this show since the first episode. This is a show about Christian and Sean - their friendship. Each year it somehow deals with their friendship and strong bond they have with each other. I don't think Sean will die because of this. Like someone said, this is Nip/Tuck world. They can stitch you up and you won't even have scars!

Maybe Eden is just going to admit to poisoning Julia?!?

Kenneth, You're right. Olivia was way too calm. And yes, she is a Mom and would do ANYTHING to protect her child - even a child as mean as Eden. It's just a Mom's instincts to protect their children.

But what could she have done to Julia? I mean, drug or I.V. wise? Of course, this is t.v. and they can make something up. But I was trying to think rationally about this.

firstly i'm still hoping for a dream sequence, but if not i'm with kenneth. olivia could have helped julia out with the loss of memory- becuase the dr. only said she might not wake up for awhile...however when dr troy asked about memory loss the hospital dr. only said it's a possibility....soooo maybe olivia did indeed help out, damn lesbians!

WOW!!! Who really saw that comin??!?!?! I had another question about this season....What ever happened to that doctor who at the beginning of the season would always walk into the post-surgery patients room and stick his finger in their rectom??? Rememeber that guy?? Wasnt his name Dr. George or something??? He did it to Rosie's charatcer for sure and I wanan say like 1 or 2 more people!! Whatever happened to that guy...he was on like the first 2 episodes and that was it???

yeah alot of unexpected stuff certainly happend this season finale.. i think matt should do that sister of his another few hundred times and im pretty sure colleen and eden are gone get locked up fo sho.. than they are definatly not killing of sean cuz nobody would watch the show anymore. i dont thik sean is dreaming though.... *Gman you cant just stich a guy with 5 collateral big ass kitchen knife stabs like its nothing*

That ending really had me freaking out! I mean, they can't kill Sean! So, maybe it was a dream. Or, he'll pull through. Though, in reality, getting stabbed that many times in the back would be very difficult to live afterwards. But, this is television.

And has anyone else noticed that they NEVER show Sean and Julia's little boy, or Christian's child (Wilbur)? I mean, what is up with all that? Listen, I have two children and they are ALWAYS here. So where are these kids?

WOW!!!! I knew someone was going to be killed off this season but not Sean.... I hope that he's ok, b/c without Julia the show would have been ok, but no Sean I don't really see a show.......... I can't wait till next season to see what happens!!
