Here’s a summertime opportunity for some eduction and fun. But you need to act ASAP. Area
Lions, spouses and friends are invited to take a bus tour of the new
MN Lions’ Eye Bank facility and the Sight-Service Dog facility at the
University of Minnesota. We are scheduling departures as follows:
12:15 pm Olivia - SW corner of Public Parking Lot located just
south of American Bank
12:30 pm Bird Island - Ballroom Parking Lot
12:50 pm Hector - New Fire Hall on Hwy. 212 E. (former Fairway
Construction bldg., 5 blks. E. of Hwy. 4 intersection,
park North of bldg. close to highway)
1:10 pm Stewart - Cactus Jack’s, park 30 feet East of building
(to save building-side parking for elderly)
3:00-3:15 Eye Bank Tour (approximately 45 min.)
4:15-4:20 Hearing-Service Dog Tour (approx. 45 min.)
5:05-5:15 Metrodome area, Dinner (Optional, at own expense)
7:00 pm Twins vs Washington Nationals
Cost per person: $60, to Hector Lions, Box 433, Hector 55342,
includes transportation, cordials and Twins ticket. Add $3.75 if you
would like concession coupon for Hot Dog and Soft Drink, a savings of
40%.
Note to club program chairman: Please handle signup and pre-pay
for your club members. Seating is limited to first 50 (give or take a few)
registrants. Seating at the game is also limited. The faster we fill the
