The Internet interprets Dave Winer having a bad day as damage and routes around it.

The one day I have something to say in a discussion group relating to a scripting.com topic which is fun, interesting, and non-political (but hopefully somewhat provacative), the discussion group is not accessable. Bummage...

Enter QuickTopic! I can say what I want and there's a chance Dave might point to it. Okay. That sounds pretty manual, but I can live with it.

Anyways, here's what I had to say, specifically about "Picasso Passing Paper". Picasso also did other interesting things such as simply writing a check for a small amount and then giving it to the waiter. Obviously the Picasso signature was worth more than the amount of the check, so it wasn't ever cashed.

For even more hijinx with the nature of money, drawings, and explorations into the nature of "value" take a look at the book "Boggs: a comedy of values." This is about a fellow who would (among other antics) draw pictures of money, trade them for goods and services at face value, collect the change and receipt, somehow manage to get the original drawing back, frame the whole lot, then sell it for lots more money. A curious character.

The book may be found at
