Dear all,
We apologize for not updating Kiss-N-Tell since March. We have been working with writerspace.com to set up a wonderful new Berkley/Jove website that will have features that Kiss-N-Tell could never have had. It is now up and tunning and you can reach the new website by clicking www.berkleyjoveauthors.com. Soon, there will be a link providing easy transport to the new berkley/jove site via Kiss-N-Tell.
Thank you all for your patience!

Hello there!
Firstly, have to say, this is a terrific idea. Next, I'm a published author (no agent) and would like to submit a synopsis and 3 chapters. My question...Do you have specific editors who are particularly interested in reading contemporary romantic suspense? If so, could you possibly pass on a name?
Many thanks, Robbie BTW, *love* Maggie Shayne.

Thank you for your question regarding Time Passages. While we are not publishing them once a month anymore, we will publish a Time Passages romance when the editors find a submission we really love. We are certainly still considering agented submissions for our Time Passages line, as for other lines.
Thanks for your questions! Keep them coming!

Hi, I was just wondering, as a follow-up question on Berkley Time Passages, how often they are being published now. Also, are agented submissions still being considered for Time Passages?
Thanks!

Hi,
This may be off-topic for this forum but I am trying to contact Cindy Hwang, who I believe is one of the romance editors for Berkley/Jove? If she is the same Cindy Hwang who graduated from Eastside High School in Gainesville, FL in 1989, I would love it if she would contact me as we were good friends back then but have since lost touch. I can be reached via email at reba@alum.mit.edu (I don't read this forum as I am not a romance writer). My apologies if this message is out of place here but I have not been able to find an alternative way to reach Cindy via email.
Many thanks!

Does anyone know anything about the new Laura Kinsale book that was supposed to be published by Berkely sometime in the near future? The name of the book is called Enchanter, its a romance, and as of May, 2001, she was still working on it. Any information would be greatly appreciated since this author's web page has not been updated since May 7th.
Thanks

Dear editors,
I just discovered your messageboard out here. And as I love Ms. Kurland's works dearly. I would like to ask you a few questions.
I already know about the release of Love came just in time. And as you let us know here on the board, Christmas spirits will be reissued in October of this year.
But will there also be released a full-length De Piaget or Macleod novel by Lynn in October of this year? And if so, which leading characters does it feature.
Thank you!

Dear Lady Artane:
Yes, there will be another novel featuring characters from THIS IS ALL I ASK. It will be Colin's story and will come out in October, 2002. CHRISTMAS SPIRITS was an anthology that included novellas by Lynn Kurland, Elizabeth Bevarly, Casey Claybourne and Jenny Lykins. It will be reissued this year in October. In June Berkley will release a trade paperback called LOVE CAME JUST IN TIME that features four of Lynn Kurland's novellas pulled from four previously published collections. If you've missed her novellas then look for this title in June! Lynn is working on getting her website up and running within the next two months. It will be at writerspace.com so you can check there for updates and email her when it goes up. Thanks so much for your interest. Happy reading.

I would LOVE to see another book by Lynn Kurland about the characters in This Is All I Ask. It's my favorite book of all time. I also saw a message posted about The Christmas Spirit. I've never heard of it and I have all Of her full length novels. Is it an anthology? Also, I don't know if it's possible to email her?

Hi Robbie--Although we are still publishing them, we're no longer publishing either the Time Passages or Magical Love every month. The next Time Passages is AN ECHO IN TIME by Sherry Lewis in Sept. 2001, and the next Magical Loves are BUTTERCUP BABY by Karen Fox in October 2001 and HEARTMATE by Robin Owens in December 2001. I hope this helps!

Are the Time Passages Time Travel Romance books still being published? Usually, there is one per month but I haven't been able to find anything for January or February 2001. I really enjoy this series but it's difficult to know when one is coming out as they are different authors each month. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, all! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a very happy Valentine's Day! We appreciate all your postings and encourage you to keep them coming. We hope you will continue to visit the message board in 2001.
Regarding response time to submissions, we apologize that sometimes it takes longer than we intend. Our editors do fall behind at times, but we all try our hardest to read each submission carefully and respond to all submissions as promptly as possible.
Thanks again for all your messages! Much happiness in the new year to all!

Dear Editors, The new site looks terrific! I notice your General Guidelines page says to "allow three months for replies to manuscripts requested by an editor." Should I be concerned that you have had my requested manuscript for 15 months? Jody Rodriguez (who regrets having only the patience of Jod.)

I am a great fan of Lori Herter's. Obsession, Possession, Confession and Eternity are the very BEST of vampire/romance fiction. These titles are out of print now. I have hundreds of friends on-line and off that would love to see a re-release of these titles. And a new title from Lori would be awesome. I say it is time to bring back a GREAT author. With paranormal romances going so well, and all of the email groups on line dedicated to paranormal and vampire romance, I believe Berkley would be remiss in not reprinting Ms.Herter's Possession series, as well as finding her and getting a new title or two from her. PLEASE BRING BACK LORI HERTER! She has a whole new group of fans out there just waiting to love her books and much as I have!

Hi Gina--Seduction is a new line of both historical and contemporary romances featuring a sexy, larger-than-life hero. These stories will be sensual and filled with sexual tension, but not erotic. They are about 95,000 to 100,000 words long. Other than that, there aren't any more specific guidelines--it's really up to the individual writer's imagination.
Berkley is indeed looking for Scottish historicals and contemporaries--similar in concept to our Irish Eyes line. These too will be about 95,000-100,000 words in length. And the sensuality level will vary depending on the individual book.
Hope this helps!

I've got a question about the new Seduction line. What features set it apart as a line? Is it going to be all historical romance? Also, I've heard that you will be adding another new line of Scottish romances. What are the details on that?

Welcome to the temporary bulletin board for Kiss & Tell, the Berkley Romance Newsletter. We're working on a more permanent message board which will be debuting in a few months. All fans of romance (both readers and authors) are welcome to post here on any topic regarding romance--we would just like to request that authors refrain from promoting non-Berkley romances. The Berkley romance editors will also be using this forum for any announcements, so stay tuned and check back regularly. In September, Berkley Jove debuted a new line in September called Seduction, which features sexy, larger-than-life heroes. Check the newsletter for more information, and let us know what you think of them!
