/m1184 A post office that operates 6 hours a day 6 days a week for a total of 36 PM hours. You could give your PMR Saturdays but 6 hrs. would come off of your 36 for the week giving you only 30 hrs. for the week if you used your PMR.

/m1177 The level 18 office I worked in as a clerk in Alaska still inventories their AIC 093 stuff. Lot of that stuff walks out the door without being paid for because it sits out in the lobby where customers can just come in and grab it and go. There is not always a window clerk standing at the counter too keep an eye on it. I keep mine all behind the counter.

/m1187 OK. I don't think there are any EPM post offices in NJ. I know there aren't any around me.

/m1188 That's good, first office that I have heard of in a long time . I agree, a lot of that stuff does walk right out the door. If that stuff was inventoried at every post office I bet Retail Revenue % Plan would go waaaay up on most post offices NPA.

/m1190 Having it in inventory would actually hurt your NPA score. It would count against you as TOE. Selling it or not having any in stock helps you out. This Ready Post stuff takes up way more space than it is worth. Very slow selling stuff. The PO should allows us to have bake sales as it would make more revenue than Ready Post. Fairly simple to set up an AIC for Cookie Sales.

/m1191 I still think the NPA scores would improve because who ever is working the window would be more likely to keep up with the AIC 093 sales if he knew the products were being inventoried.. Too many times the sale is forgotten about( in a manual office) and then guess what ? Every cash drawer has an overage. We sell a lot of Ready Post. I don't think a bake sale would work out here because the post office is connected to a Deli/Convenience store.

I keep a note pad next too my till that I write down each 093 sales I have each day.
How will a cash drawer be over if the sale is forgotten about? You are only allowed a $100 in your til not counting change. If anything the main stock would come over.

Note pad is a good idea.
The money would then be counted as a stamp stock sale but that is truly not a stock sale and the stock will still be in your drawer. Does your PMR work out of the main stock ? Do you ?, Do clerks ?

Myself and the PMR work out of the main stock. I know several Level 18 offices on the POS system that do it the same way. I OIC'ed in a Level 13 Office that had stamp stock for each drawer, what a pain in the behind that was doing the paperwork.

I see.
In our office,a 13, the PM and I both have our own cash/stock drawer. The main stock is separate too. Yes, at times the paper work can be a pain but you get used to it.
See, at stock count time the overages aren't counted as Retail AIC 093 if they did Retail NPA scores would improve. BTW, the office I am in.....our NPA scores are Excellent anyway.

/m1192 I really don't think any of the Ready Post gets stolen from my office, or the OLRP either. The door has an amazingly squeaky hinge, so I can hear whenever anyone comes in, and head over to the window and busy myself there, since there is always something to do there.

We kept ours behind the counter with very slow sales, moved it to the counter lobby and sales have increased. I write my sales on a scrap paper and keep w/ supporting docs for end of the day totals. Btw, the PO makes more percentage-wise from Ready pOst than it does on anything else.
We keep stock in our drawers and in main stock. Not toomuch a hassle if you know the flow of the office. I dont understand how a manual office could do it any different and not have a problem....of course it is not a problem as long as everyone is honest and does not make a mistake. POS is much easier to work out of main stock though
