I was referencing cajun's post which discussed your post 1135...did not understand what she was talking about as I dont think anyone had questioned her OIC status

Actually, I think /m1135 was CajunOIC's own post. Not sure how that all got mixed up. Another internet "failure to communicate"! Hang in there guys, we will figure it out & get it straightened out!

/m1163 What??????? Please explain "1135 is Flyingwhitedove".
I DO NOT, have never been asked to work clerk hours. My PM would put up a big fuss if I did.:(

/m1161 I had to laugh about the 1 1/2 hour time for a PTF. One of the OIC's we had came in immediately with intent to throw her weight around and stir everyone up. She was just plain mean to everyone. So when one week she decided that she was going to cut my hours and split shift me. She sent me home in the morning each morning the entire week varying between 1 -1 1/2 hours each morning and did the same with the other PTF at a different time slot. The other PTF and I just locked eyes and smiled. At the end of the week we put in our time for 2 hours each morning. She wasn't real pleased when she found out what she had done. She started being nicer after that.

Cajun, 1135 is Flyingwhitedove. I dont think any of think you should not be an OIC.

/m1135 So, you are saying they should have laid me off, when I lost my PMR position? The larger offices in this area cannot spare anyone to OIC. They have been working short handed for the longest time. My work history also speaks for itself according to MPOO.

Also, what PMR only wants to work 7 hours per week, not me.

I suppose you could schedule a clerk for 1 1/2 hours, but you would still have to pay them for 2 hours.

My PMR now, and my clerks before her, worked a lot of hours in other offices, an afternoon here, a morning there, a whole day somewhere else.

You have different issues there, Allen, as far as the driving distances. I have 3 other offices within 5 miles of my office. Make the radius 10 miles and add 2 more. Make it fifteen miles and add four more, for a total of 9 offices within 15 miles of me.

/m1159 If they want to drive 68 miles round trip for 1 1/2 hours work a day let them have at it.

One that works in more than one office.

Using your scenario then they should not be using Non-carreer persons to be an OIC, fill it with Carreer people. My PMR works the whole 7 clerk hours that my office is allocated. What clerk is going to work for a lousy 7 hours a week?

Gee, that sounds very big. Is your office a 200 man year office, what ever that is, because I thought the USPS made ALL the clerks in the 200 man year offices regulars ??
I am in a 13.
