Just got off the phone with Donna Bullock. Her husband, Terry, passed away suddenly this evening. He had been sick with a rare disease, and had just returned from a hospital in Boston. The doctors there were very optimistic about his recivery, but last nigt things started getting bad, and grew progressively worse throughout the day.

Donna is one of our sopranos, and she hasn't been able to attend choir recently as she was Terry's primary caregiver. I will have flowers sent from the choir tomorrow. As it stands now, Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford is in charge of the arrangements, but obviously nothing has been finalized at this early stage. Keep Donna and Ryan (her son) in your daily prayers. I know they woould appreciate that.

I am going to TRY and attempt leading Celebration Choir rehearsal this coming Wednesday evening. Hopefully an hour and fifteen minute rehearsal won't kill me. It all depends on how my body is feeling on Wednesday afternoon. I don't want to over-do anything, but I don't want to "under-do" anything, either. I miss you all so much! Thanks for your prayers and patience during this time.

Father God, I want to take this time to praise you and your Son Jesus for all that you have done for me and my family over the past few weeks as well as my entire life. I thank you for all that you are going to do in the future. I ask you today Lord, to please be with my friend, Donna her son Ryan During this loss and in the weeks and months to come. I can not imagine the pain they are feeling. Comfort and lift them up. Give them strength and peace. Love on them Lord, as only you and your body the church can. Please Lord be with Danny, Dawn and their family. Lord I ask you to relieve his pain, remove and ellimenate it. Lord I ask you to supernaturally heal Danny and stop the suffering. Please be with Dawn and the children. As we all know the stress having a sick loved one can bring. Lord only you know all the reasons behind all the workins in the world. It is easy for us to be discouraged by pain and sickness and also death. Lord Jesus I ask you to show yourself in a mighty way. Dear friends,
Last Friday Edwin had a stress test. He failed. So today he had a cardiac cath. Well the doctor was thinking that Edwin had a blockage. It would have been an easy fix. Easy meaning that he could repair it. In doing so his heart ejection fraction would improve. 4 years ago when this enlarged heart became diagnosed. They say it is the size of a frisbee. We were told his heart was workin at 25%. Edwin went back to work and life as usual. This is a differant thing. After talking to the Doctor tonight. He said it is working at about 15%. Also the av node is not firing correctly. They will continue to change his meds to make the most of the 15%. Edwin had one of his "spells" as I call it after the cath today. Where he can't breathe and turns grey and the Dr. can't figure out why it happened.
We are told Edwin should not return to work unless they offer him a desk job. That is not probably going to happen. His doctor said we will have to apply for disability.
That is where we are right now.

Good news from the neurologist! I will be having out-patient surgery next Tuesday, November 10th at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. The condition should be able to be corrected with this procedure, and the doctor is very optimistic that I should be feeling better once this is completed. The recovery time is very minimal, which means I will be able to be back at ALBC very soon. I will have to take it easy, but I should be pain-free and able to function in my regular duties. Thank You, Lord!
Please continue to keep me in your prayers. I love and appreciate each and every one of you.

I also have a request. My brother called to tell me that dad is in the hospital. It's his heart. We do not know at this point if dad will have to have surgery or just a cath. procedure. No one wants to tell mom until we know more as she is in poor health. I love you guys and thanks for the prayers.

Just got the time for the back surgery on Tuesday, November 10th. I have to report to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst at 6:45am for an 8:45am Surgery. So glad to be first on the rotation so Dr. Kee will be fresh. If all goes well, the surgery should only take 30-45 minutes and I should be back home in Hope Mills by nightfall. I covet your prayers. This will be the first surgery I've ever had in 41 years, so I'm a little nervous. Still, I serve a great God who is always in control. God bless each and every one of you.

I am sure all will especially lift you up in prayer tomorrow as we have each and every day.

I thank you for all the prayers you have been praying for Edwin. Tomorrow he will have a defiberlator put in. After that we should have him home. The Dr said our next course will be to follow the steps for a transplant. Thank you for remembering us through our journey.
