Wigtown Youth Forum Newsletter

William, if the newsletter hasn't been printed yet, is it too late to get another advert in it? The Glaisnock has now changed hands and reopened. The new owner, Lorraine, would like to be included if possible.

Pop into The Glaisnock and if it's too late for this newsletter, I'm sure they will be interested in the next one. They also sell really nice cakes!

I shall be round collecting it either tonight or sometime over the weekend, is that OK?
Many Regards,

William Saunders

P.S The newsletter will be ditributed either by the end of next week or next weekend.

If anyone is missing some garden ornaments since the new year they have been sat on the bowling green in the centre of Wigtown. There are two black and white dogs looking lost. If you know who they might belong to please let them know.

WEDDING?
I am interested in finding information on marrying in the church in Wigtown. We will be visiting Scotland from the US in August and I have an ancestor James Ewing (1825-1864) from Wigtown.

If anyone can provide any information or an email of the church(es) I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Janet,

Welcome to the Wigtown.info messageboards.

I have forwarded your details to Rev. Eric Boyle at Wigtown Parish Church, but you can also find contact details for him on the following page:

http://www.churchofscotland.org.uk/contact/contactmap09.htm

I hope you enjoy your visit here in August.

Details of car boot sale:

11am Sunday 4th May 2008

Market (usual stalls/traders) and car boot sale at the Mercat Cross, Wigtown. Hopefully, this event will be taking place every couple of weeks throughout the summer. Come for a nose about this Sunday, see what bargains you can buy.
