Hello,
We're a Canadian/Scotish family returning to Scotland after fifteen years away. We have four kids at home, and are looking for a house to rent for about six months until we can buy in Wigtown. Can someone (anyone!!) point me in the right direction to find a four bed house to rent? Anywhere within a five to eight mile radius of Wigtown would be OK, as we will be putting three into Wigtown primary and one into the feeder secondary. Many thanks! Email alymurphy@yahoo.ca

Hello Email Group,

William here again. Its just a wee reminder email with regards to the pub quiz on Friday Night at 9pm in the Grapes Inn, Wigtown. It is teams of 3 at £3 per team which includes a fabulous buffet!

There shall also be:- Millionaire Game & Lucky Squares
As well as a fabulous raffle with excellent prizes such as:-

Family of 5 return ticket to Belfast on Stena Line
1 Family Pass to Loudoun Castle
1 Wristband for M&Ds
2 Tickets to a movie at the Newton Stewart Cinema
TIckets are £1 per strip and can be purchased from "Scad" or on the night.

We really need teams to make this successful and would really appreciate it if you could email back to say if you are hoping to enter a team.

Kind Regards,

William

Weekly Markets & Monthly Car Boot Sales / Market

We attended the first Sunday market today and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, despite the intermittent downpours. We can now confirm that this will be a monthly event throughout the summer, next one on Sunday 1st of June - see you all there.

Tea, coffee and hot snacks were available from The Glaisnock and there were certainly quite a few bargains to be had from the stalls. I suspect that I bought more than I can highly recommend the Wigtown Fudge!

Looking forward to the next event and I'm already planning on offering loads of bargains, so start saving your pennies, folks.

PS: I forgot to ask how much it was per car if you took your own boot! I THINK it's £5 but don't quote me on that.

Dear All
I believe Car Boot is being organized by the same people as street market and presume it is by the Cross and will be held first Sunday of the month regularly.
