My Granddaughter, Lisa Deschak has been in the hospital for four weeks in critical condition. She is 19 years old & has had her leg amputated. She needs prayers across the US. I believe that is the reason that she is alive today. The good people of Ashley, Pa. are having a fundraiser to help with medical expenses. God Bless them all.

Hi,
My name is Jason Brandt and I'm looking for an old Hammond church organ and/or Leslie Speaker. I am wondering if your church has something that you don't use that you would be willing to part with?
Thanks!

I am one of the owners of the Trinity ME CHurch at 1600 SW Harrison Topeka aka Walnut Grove Church. We are searching for anyone who knows former parishoners or people who were married there, held a function there or who
have any information or pictures of this Church before it was abandoned.
We are in the process of restoring this beautiful building but have very
little to go on - any info would be a tremenous help.
email me at asan1970@hotmail.com or call me - Andrea 631-446-4306

Any "church ladies" who enjoy sewing or crafts and have some extra time: I am in need of some very sturdy tactile or activity "books" for little boys who have special needs.
Any "church gentlemen" who know how to work with plexiglass or plastic: I need a plastic enclosure for a wheelchair tray with a plexiglass front, cut in a specific way, to serve as a communication board for a little boy.
I could pay for the materials; I could not pay for labor and time, other than with a grateful heart and maybe an introduction to some of the most adorable little boys you are ever likely to meet.
Anyone who is interested in providing these items or even willing to talk about it, please respond. Thank you so much!

Some times in a church you discover some one you don't know extremely well, but some what well, enough to joke with and talk to and enjoy their company and see they have helped out when asked too. Some times you discover beyond that..............that the person goes beyond that into really caring and shows a real christian heart. With out giving a reason why, I want to say that one of those people was revealed to me this week and he is Quinton, in Carl Nordstroms Sunday School class. It is a pleasure to be in the class with Quinton and him and his wife are very wonderful christian people who truly care and show it. You deserve this appreication "Q". And thank you! Here is a great website: with a few clicks, you give actual help to multiple sites: animal rescue, hunger relief, child health, mammograms, literacy, and rainforest. They are interconnected, so if you go to one, you can easily click on the others.
It is:
http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/click

It is quick and easy and really makes a contribution. Of course, there are myriad opportunities offered with each to send free ecards or make purchases, etc.

Our Pastor Mitch has shown us his talents last Sunday when he sang a played the piano while doing a song he himself wrote. He has a wonderful singing voice, plays the piano great, and the song was wonderful. Mitch...............I hope to see you put some together on a CD to sell at church so we can all enjoy the beautiful music. Don't let the talent just go by the way side. WWJD? He would tell you to use it to make people feel good to have it to listen to in the car or at home. How nice to have a Pastor with such a talent! Hats off to you! Amy

I pray for VBS. I hope it goes smoothly next week. I can't believe it's 9-5 that is going to be so hard on the helpers.

Next Sunday the church/people will be planting a tree in Virginia Nordstrom's honor. I am very pleased with this. When I first heard about this, my first thought was "planting". Virginia "planted" a seed in every one's heart she came into contact with. She planted God's seed of love and it has grown every since and still growing. I miss her dearly. I can still see her so clear in her green chair, all delicate, all smiles, so sweetly be angelic. So the tree will be planted and grow, and the seeds she planted in the people around her will grow which has grown over the many years will till her death will continue to grow. Carl plants the same seed. He is a spectacular man. Carl...............I love the way you wear you wedding ring. Virginia is not on this earth, but she is your wife and very near you and you are one of those couples that it was meant to be you for her...........and her for you. Like the song,"Where ever you go, what ever you do, we're gonna go through it together". You are quite and guy and picked the perfect wife. I am BLESSED to have gotten close to her in a short time and that she planted a seed in me. Love Amy

Hey guys,

I did verify this with Pizza Hut....do a good deed. Eat lots of Pizza
on Thursday!!

Please pass on to your Kansas friends

Good afternoon,

If ordering a pizza was on your agenda for the week, do it Thursday!!
This Thursday, May
10th, Pizza Hut restaurants across the state of Kansas are donating
20% of profits to the

I have another prayer for the Nordstroms; their family, and friends. I knew Virginia. She was the best woman she could have been. I'm in sorrow for the loss of her. I want her family to know their in my prayors, and the church. We(the church) lost a wonderful woman, her family lost a wonderful woman. Everyone lost except God he gained her. His daughter. Someday somehow we will all hopefully meet up with her again in God's safe haven from our earth.

                          Love, Peace, and Faith,

WORSHIP FROM THE HEART ACADEMY

I have experience in mixing live sound (sound tech), ( 18 ch. Yamaha mixer/ sound board, vocal effects rack, dual ch. EQ,)... also did maintence and repair on P.A equipment. I could be used as a sub or fill in as needed for both or late services....I am unsure whether this would fall under the media tech catagory that is posted at church or not.
Contact me @ outlwford@aol.com thanks...Brian Conn

A prayer for the Nordstroms and their family and friends with the passing of Virginia, especially for Carl. What a wonderful long life you both had together, a real gift. I love the story Virgina told me of your first date! I am glad she shared that with me. The few times she pulled me aside to tell me some special things I will treasure and she has no idea how much of an impact that made on me coming from her. I have been honored to have gotten to know her, she is a blessing, a gift, a treasure and no doubt beaming ear to ear in Heaven as I write this. She was not in my life long, but we became close quick and I will treasure every word she said to me in private and she was some one I needed to know and got the blessing to do so. Thank you God for allowing me to meet Virginia and for the special things she said to me. To Virginia..............I will se you again some day lovely lady, and I know you will meet me with that beautiful smile. Love you!

Regarding posting personal or health related information on the internet: I would view this as being very similar to talking about one's own issues or family issues. It is a personal decision, and however the person or family feels is what is best for his or their own situation. That must be respected. In the same vein, if someone has knowledge of another person or family's issues, that person needs to check before posting. It is just as wrong to write about someone else's private business as it is to talk about it. Even with all good intentions, it is very important to ask if the person or family is comfortable with having that information put out.
Gossip is gossip, and respect and sensitivity are always foremost.

(I don't understand why anyone would want to post messages about their personal health or family concerns on the internet)

Some people do, others don't...I for one would rather my personal health issues be kept off of internet, but, some one who THINKS they are doing YOU a great service by broadcasting it to everyone usually ends up doing more harm than good....it happened to me this past summer, no big deal to me, but it (my health) got blown way out of proportion quickly.
Same thing w/ family issues...unless of course it's really note worthy..marriage, birth, birthday, graduation, etc. etc. On the other hand on line condolences are becoming more and more popular as a way to express yourself in a time of loss or tragedy.
The internet, whether WE except it or not, IS the new age phone call, letter writing, visiting information source....and forums like this allow us to communicate to many people at one time. I applaud Amy and Pastor Mitch for putting this together.
