The 'PupCalendar is right here. It's to show dates and times of the next steps in the "Fall of the House of Bush:" (e.g., hearings, subpoena expiration deadlines, trial dates, expected verdict dates, expected imprisonment and release dates, primary and general elections, convictions in the Well of the U.S. Senate, resignations, and random other significant expected future political events – ROTFL!). Calendaring is much more prospective than retrospective, although its data can be used to create timelines (q.v. elsewhere).

View it in a new browser tab or separate window, so you can play with it while working elsewhere. You might want to bookmark that URL for future reference.

Most of the events in this calendar are the real, true, "reality-based," thing. If there's any additional information or commentary about an event, it will be displayed if you click on its name.

You can't change anything in that calendar and you can't add your own events to it. It doesn't provide any pre-event notification service. (If you view the actual FDL.shared.info calendar from within Google Calendar (see below), its pre-alerts will pop up on your browser screen.)

There are some other "events" in the calendar that are purely fantasy, which I imagined and entered to see how powerful the calendar is, emphasizing conflict handling. (It did fine.) All such "fantasy events" are clearly labeled "FUN:" in the item's name, and are commented-on as snarkily as possible. If they're felt to be inappropriate, they can be deleted.
This calendar is generated from the freebie Google web applications suite. Only those with access to Google's FDL.shared.info account can change what's displayed in it. If you're a "proper authority" and want in, pls post your request below or email your request to that account; it'll forward to me. (Natch, I'll keep your email addy confidential.)

Google's fully-functional freebie personal Calendar is available to anyone. If you've got a Google account, you can create your own calendar ("Dentist appointment, July 15, 2-4PM") and merge it with any other calendar that's been shared. If you merge this calendar with yours (and give them different colors) you'll be able to look and say "Aiee! I've got a dentist appointment that conflicts with so-and-so's Congressional testimony scheduled for that same afternoon!" Your next step, if you're interested: explore Google and its Calendar, and post any questions here.
Comments & Questions on the 'PupCalendar? See an error that needs fixing? Have new info about an upcoming event/date/time that needs entering? Please post below, and thanks. ... ... ... [Return to Social Networking intro]

Someone told me that Monica Goodling was scheduled to testify (with immunity) before the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 23rd at 10:15AM. I just added that info to the calendar.

I also heard, from another source, that Condoleezza Rice's testimony date had changed. Anyone know about that?

congressional hearings weekly update:

many congressional hearings are scheduled for this week. goodling on wednesday is obviously the big one… but, there are many more - including several on the current situation in iraq (there are also a number of closed hearings on the defense appropriations bill), habeas corpus, katrina/rita recovery, russia, social security, fema and the 2007 hurricane season, Michael Baroody’s (of NAM!) nomination to Chairman and Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (fox, meet hen house), assistance to the palestinians and much more…. check them out for yourself - the senate has a nice listing, and i put together a page of links to schedules for the house.

i’ve pulled out some of those that i think might be of special interest:
