Is anyone interested in improving our community this summer? City of Ottawa "Green Partnership" Program grants are available to local community associations etc. to improve and beautify their communities and environment through greening and cleaning projects. Funding must be matched... How about the path to the river - path, bench, picnic table? Or copy the flowers at the corner of Marina/Fairway somewhere else? Or maybe "shade" landscaping in the park? http://ottawa.ca/green or City Client Service Centres or call 3-1-1. |

CGYHA "Celebration in the Park" is scheduled for September 8th from 1:30 - 3:30pm at Echo Park. We're celebrating the new play structure and are hoping lots of adults and kids will attend.
A bike parade will start at 1:00 pm from the club house and there will be prizes. Games and treats will be available at the park.
Come and have fun! Meet new people!

Carpooling - Nortel (Moodie)
My husband commutes to Nortel daily. He is looking for someone in the neighbourhood that commutes to Nortel (Moodie) that he could get rides with. Happy to split expenses. Please call Andy at 613-692-6704 or at 613-768-1677 if you are interested in some company driving to and from work.

Hi Kim,
I, regretfully, I am a full-time working Mom. However, I live just around the corner from your new place (on Woodland place) and have a three year old boy. I'd be happy to meet you on the weekends or evenings at the Park and I can introduce you to my care giver who can recommend playgroups gallore in North Gower, Manotick, Osgoode and so on. She's an excellent source for anyhting community based that involves children (and seniors for that matter). I've been pretty shy about meeting new people in the neighbourhood and this would be a good opportunity to expand my wings! Welcome to the neighbourhood!
