That address was Greg's parent's home. I believe he still lives in the house next door (toward 465) that he built after he got married. I wonder if he is the man in one of the photos on the MLS listing?

Sharon, that might be true. I spent lots of time at Dale and Maxine Hessong's house growing up. However, when I looked up Greg's address and phone number on the internet white pages, the address provided was the one I provided below. I visited Greg there about a year ago.

Bruce, shows you what I don't know. I'm pretty sure when I talked with him on the phone a few years back (before he quit teaching) that he said he was living in the house he had built. But I could be very wrong about that. I just pray that he will be okay--he's had so much medical stuff in his life already. Greg, if you're watching this, I'm keeping you and your wife in my prayers.

We just received this email, with the names and phone numbers changed. It is a variant of the Nigeria scam. Please be aware! I am trying to find out how to keep from this happening to us, and WHEN I do, I will post it.
Hi, I really don't mean to inconvenience you right now but am sorry, I and Joe made a quick trip to the UK lately only to have our bag stolen, containing my wallet our passport and credit cards. I know this may sound odd, but it all happened very fast. I've been to the US embassy and they're willing to help me fly without my passport but I have to pay for my ticket and settle a couple of bills. I'm out of cash and I can't have access to my bank without my credit card over here. I have contacted my bank but they need more verification. Please can you lend me some funds right now? I'll pay back as soon as I get home. I need to get on the next available flight home. Please reply as soon as you get this message so I can forward the details as to where to send the funds. You can reach me via the hotel's desk phone if you can, the numbers are, 11111 or 11111.
I await your response.
Thanks Mary

A person somewhere in Great Britain picks a stranger at random in the US and begs them for money?
I wonder if they've had any luck? Seems a pretty long shot that anyone would respond to that. Right off the bat you're paying for a long distance call to England. Did they even give you a phone number, or just the extension?
Weird.

Frank, just about the same thing happened to me about a year ago. I called up my friend who it was 'supposed' to be from (said he needed $750 when he was stuck in England) my friend told me someone hacked in to his email account & then sent out dozens of these phoney pleas for money. not rare at all. we'll probably see more of these as time goes on. Best thing to do is just call your friend up when you get one; no doubt he will be home and NOT in England. btw, did you ever get ahold of Greg? TGIF everyone!

Frank; there was a story on the today show; people are getting the information from facebook, etc so that is why you need passwords so everyone cannot get your email addresses; etc. I guess they could get the info from our website too. Best way is to confirm with friends. It is so sad that people are always out to scam other people.
Also, I did try & call Greg last night. His phone number had changed but the new number was given. I left a message so will see if he calls back. I also had mailed a card last week; it hasn't come back, so hopefully if he has moved, it will be forwarded to him. Prayers are being said for he & his wife! Going to see the grandbaby today, so it will be a good day!

Hey everyone, just hung up with Greg! He called me back this morning and is doing okay. He said I could share the information regarding himself & his wife. He does have mantile cell lymphoma, it is an aggresive type so they are treating him with five different types of chemo at the same time and is infused over a days time and is undergoing his sixth chemo treatment this next Wednesday. He stated that he has several prayer groups & churches praying for him and knows there is power in prayer and that the Lord is taking care of him. I told him a good attitude is half the battle and knowing you have the strength & the power of prayer, that is what it is all about and that a lot of people were asking about him and praying for him and he thanks you all. Jane is doing okay, but continues to have struggles with her knees and feet so keep her in your prayers as well. The house is still for sale; just too hard to do the upkeep, yard & all. His SS class is getting together tomorrow to try & help sell furniture, etc since they have downsized to a two-bedroom near Prestwick. He did say he has checked out the site a couple of times, especially when Lazaro sees him in the grocery & I invited him again to join us. His address is: 5322 Villa Ct Avon IN 46123 - send him a card; I am sure he will appreciate it.

Carol: Thanks for the update on Greg Hessong. I do plan to call or write him soon. As I recall, he was a very nice fellow in high school. Pleasant all the time. Will be praying for him.
I talked with my computer engineer last night, and he said the key to not having your email hijacked is to have an uncrackable password AND to change the password monthly. A combination of eight or more characters containing numbers and letters should do the trick.

Hello everyone, hope all are well! Where is everybody? Keep my hubby in your prayers; new things going on at work & some things need to be worked out; pray he doesn't stress out. Appreciate it very much! We did get to see the grandbaby this week-end so that was great. Hoping to take in Busch Gardens this week-end since weather will be perfect. Thank goodness, we have kept our annual passes renewed each year. It only takes us about 30-45 min to get there so not bad. We used to go to "Branch Ranch" to eat but they closed last year so we now just usually end up at Cracker Barrel.

Thanks Penny! I think he is the cutest thing, but I am a little prejudice! Was a busy week at work; I'm exhausted; Ted had a stressful week too. I think we will go to Busch Gardens this week-end; weather should be perfect ; I need to go see my Dad too. Week-ends go way too fast! We are having a luncheon tomorrow at work to raise money for Toys for Tots! I am taking my turkey-maple sausage chili; if I do say so myself, "self" you did a good job! I taste-tested it and it came out good.

Did you know?? There is a Ben Davis alumni Face Book page. Over 1,000 alumni & friends have signed up. It's a great site to ask the question- Have you seen?, do you know?, where are you?. Give it a try. Mr. T http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=304042290474#
