Good luck with the festival this year.

I got talked into going to the festival last year expecting the most borring afternoon of the summer. WOW!!! Was I surprised. My buddy Jack had to drag me out of there and I can't wait to make a weekend of it this year. The festival is so well promoted and family oriented I'm shocked it is not a bigger event in the Maine summer season dominated by over priced lobster, italian sandwiches and cheap horse racing. Wonderful job whoever you are and watch for the big guy tapping his feet this year.

Hello, Bill and Raetha
Thanks for posting the 2008 lineup. A big bright spot in this long and dreary winter. Glad to see that Dan Paisley will be there. His band puts on a great show. Should be a great 10 year anniversary for the festival. It only seems like yesterday that it was the first one.
Take care and see you all in July, Jim Hebert

I've already reserved our hotel room for the festival for my husband and I. This will be our first time here. What brought us here was seeing that the Nashville Bluegrass Band will be playing in 2008. I can't wait to see the full schedule. What time does it start on Thursday? We want to be sure to stake out a good place with our chairs.

Just a quick note to let you guys know that I thought the contests this year were the best ever. The talent level at the guitar and banjo contests were unbelievable. Where do these guys come from??!! The contests for me are just as entertaining as the main stage. It's hard to believe that the guy who won the songwriting contest is unknown. I've never heard of him before but he was awesome. Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming.

I just checked out your Michael Cleveland clip on youtube. Very impressive. If you've got any more footage of that jam you should post it.

Hey, you guys should look into the Infamous Stringdusters. they would be perfect for your festival.

We used to go to 5 festivals every summer but now we just go to one. And it's the best one - Ossipee Valley! Thanks for doing what you do. We had a great time singing on the open stage and hope to get the chance again next year.

Thanks for a great weekend. Ossipee Valley is truely the best festival of it's kind in th Northeast. It's the workshops, the dances, and the contests combined with the killer main stage show. The memory of Michael Cleveland fiddle dueling with Ray Legere will keep me warm through the long winter months. It does'nt get any better than that! And kudos to the folks running the dances. Our family had agreat time. We danced till we dropped and then went for a nice cool swim in the river. Thanks for all your hard work. Can't wait to see you all next year!

hi Raetha and Bill, thanks for another wonderful festival. Nothin' Fancy was the perfect gift for all of us with their great music and especially their humor which we all needed this year. would love to see the Stillhouse Jammers next year again. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

My first Bluegrass Festival Ever! And I'm so impressed...I will definately be back next year. I still am in that "afterglow" period...Bill and Raetha, you've put on an amazing festival...and I appreciate all the hard work that went into it. It really and truly blew my mind. I'm hoping someday you will be able to get Old Crow Medicine Show there, as well as Iris Dement...but I've added a few new bands to my list of favorites, thanks to this amazing festival. See you next year!

Looking forward to heading out and on to the festival tomorrow morning. Ossipee Valley is still my favorite festival and what I consider to be the all-around best of them all. Congrats to Bill and Raetha on the 9th Anniversary of this wonderful festival. We all show up for the 4 days for fun in the sun, great music and good times with good friends. But we really don't see all the work and preparation that goes into putting a festival together. I applaud you for your hard work, dedication and commitment to making this such a great event. See you soon, Jim

Ossipee Valley is one of the great traditional bluegrass festivals. The location is great with plenty of room and everyone is very friendly and relaxed. There are alot of festivals closer to where we live in CT but its worth the drive.

We're really excited to play the Ossipee Valley Bluegrass Festival this year! I've been telling folks along the trail that this is such a great, welcoming festival. Reminds me of TPB in many ways. Great pickin and singing around many a campsite. Dig traditional bluegrass or old style (real) country? You don't have to mosey too far.... like a little out of the box bluegrass with some western swing or funky jazzy riff here and there? Just walk around, and best of all, it's a self maintained festival, everyone seems to appreciate the diversity. After all it's all about music and the joy and sometimes retrospection that we love ain't it?
   Cecil sends best...
