Well Done to all AFSC skaters who competed at the weekend and all the members, friends and others who gave of their time so freely. Feedback from visitors and officials suggests we provided a successful and friendly event. Special thanks to the Event Organisers, HE & HS, for ensuring such a smooth running Open. I'm tired and I'm off to sleep!

"Well Done" to all our Club Members who competed at Ayr Open at the wekend.
"Congratulations and Well Done" to our Club Members who made the rostrum, for those of you who didn't, there is always a next time.

A rostrum place is a nice bonus, but it's the taking part that counts and it's extra special when you represent your Club.

Hi Marianne. Hope your ankle is not too painful. Pick a "good colour" of plaster when you go back to the hospital today. Hope your Mum is looking after you and giving you plenty of T.L.C.!!!!

We are all thinking of you and looking forward to seeing you back in at the Club real soon.

Take care, and look after that ankle.

Love Helen xxx

Hi Marianne,

You obviously did all you were told with your ankle, good for you!! GREAT to hear from your Mum that you won't need to have an operation, and that you have been given a "shoe" so that you can start puting a wee bit weight on the ankle. That doesn't mean to say that your Mum has to stop "running after you!!!!" Really pleased for you regarding the op. Keep looking after that ankle, a wee bit weight a bit at a time.

Everyone here thinking of you and hope to see you real soon.

Love

Hi Marianne,

Was great news about your ankle - and no op!! Just keep doing what you're told and the plaster will be off before you know it. Miss you.

Hi folks,
Thanks for all the messages, cards and gifts. It was very thoughtful of you all. I'm really pleased i dont need an op but i'm so bored, i can't wait to be back at skating, walking the dog and doing all my usual chores! Ha Ha! Mum's already nagging at me to get back to school and Tocho is in the huff with me coz i can't walk him.
Hope i make a good mascot for Synchro!

See you all Tuesday!

"Congratulations and Well Done" to everyone who passed their NISA Tests yesterday. For those of you who weren't successful this time, there will be other Test Sessions. It was a pretty long session for you all.

To Marianne and Thea: Sorry you had to miss the Test Session yesterday due to injuries, but you will be on the mend very soon and there will be other Test Sessions.

A "Big Well Done" to all our Club Members who took part in the SK8Scotland Open Championships and Scottish National Open at Dumfries this weekend.

"Congratulations and Well Done" to the following skaters who made the rostrum.

Marcus Hope 3rd Beginner Men, Andrew Fleming 3rd, Level 1 Men, Kirstin Edgar 3rd, Level 2 Ladies, Robert Alner 3rd, Level 3 Men, Ashley Mitchell 1st Level 7 Ladies and 1st Junior Ladies Solo Dance, Lewis Gibson 1st Level 7 Men, Thea Young/Andrew Fleming 1st Beginner Couples/Pairs, Heather Murdoch/Lewis Gibson 1st, NISA Novice Pairs.

"Congratulations and Well Done" to our Club Coach, Elise Scholes who took
1st Place in the Adult Gold Ladies.

"Congratulations and Well Done" to both our Synchro Teams. Gael Force took 1st Place in the Elementary Competition of the Scottish Synchro Championships, and Ayr-0-Dynamic took 2nd Place in the Preliminary Competition of the Scottish Synchro Championships.

A "Congratulations and Well Done" also goes to our two Synchro Coaches, Gail McKnight and Kirsty Cameron. Considering you have to do most of the Synchro training on the small pad, it's pretty good going coaches!

To everyone who took part at Dumfries I hope you all enjoyed the experience. REMEMBER, the taking part and skating the best you can is the most important thing, the rostrum is the bonus.
