In reply to Mr Nobody Particular, We used to have a christmas party/gathering every year but we had to stop it due to lack of interest from the members, basically the same 20 people were turning up every year with no support from the rest of the membership and as i'm sure you will agree it just wasn't viable to keep doing it. You say the club doesn't seem to put itself out for the members but i can assure all of the committee put in alot of time and effort behind the scenes just to keep the club running, whenever there's work to be done over the lakes it usually most of the committee and a handful of members that do it. we have an AGM every year in february where members can come along and voice their concerns and worries about the club and find out whats going on within the club, but again unfortunatly we are lucky if 10 - 15 members attend the AGM. we can only assume that due to the lack of response from our members that they must be happy with the way the club is being run. I hope this answers some of your concerns. Rod (vice chairman)
