In reply to Mr Nobody Particular, We used to have a christmas party/gathering every year but we had to stop it due to lack of interest from the members, basically the same 20 people were turning up every year with no support from the rest of the membership and as i'm sure you will agree it just wasn't viable to keep doing it. You say the club doesn't seem to put itself out for the members but i can assure all of the committee put in alot of time and effort behind the scenes just to keep the club running, whenever there's work to be done over the lakes it usually most of the committee and a handful of members that do it. we have an AGM every year in february where members can come along and voice their concerns and worries about the club and find out whats going on within the club, but again unfortunatly we are lucky if 10 - 15 members attend the AGM. we can only assume that due to the lack of response from our members that they must be happy with the way the club is being run. I hope this answers some of your concerns.

just takes time to get to know the lakes just try something totaly different seems to work for me. its a good thing the banks are not always full i think.

Why is it that there is no christmas party or gathering/get together, all my other clubs are having a christmas bash where all get to meet up and family's etc.. this club doesnt seem to put itself out for the members and membership. the banks are scarce, 4 bailiffs i see are there more than anglers, the fishing is particularly hard and it doesnt seem you want to keep existing members let alone encourage new ones. just surprised and concerned.

Bk lake fishing well still had 3 carp saturday night swim 8. 16lb 7onz, 15lb, 8lb 6onz commons

I fished the back lake on saturday evening to sunday afternoon after 10 mins 8lb 4onz common then 12lb 6onz mirror then a nice 15lb common and a 5lb bream all from same spot. Swim 17 u ave a clear cast to the back of the island in 16. well worth ago, I had them all on the method with poridge around feeder and single 8mm bolie tuna or fishy smell with size 12 hook hair rig nothing on corn or pellet gd luck just go to far in coz under water snag that loves tackle lol

I'D SAY YOU'D BE BETTER OFF FISHING THE FRONT LAKE MATE BUT THEN AGAIN WITH THE DROP IN TEMP WHO KNOWS'S.

to anybody whos interested..the lillies on the back lake have now been sprayed,you wont see any difference until next year..problem is they wont all be killed off..it will have to be treated again,but hopefully it should ease the problem..the hornwort and canadian pond weed can be treated early next year...

hi, Monty. thank you for kind words of wisdom, but have since been informed that the hoodalums are the clubs night time bully boys, thats night fishing struck off for me and family. if were more like you club would be excellent. thats me now though, kenningtons will be gettin a wide birth. waste of money and would not recomend to anyone. lot more safer and better run venues.....shame!

I have been a member of the club for 6 years and i have not experienced any trouble on the lakes and have always been at ease over the lakes as most people know each other and look out for one another.
Please give the club and lakes ago as this is the first time i have seen any trouble both on the lakes and at the presentation nights, in all the years i've been a member.
Hope this eases your mind in regretting joining the club.

The Trophy night was marvelous,Great live entertainment,lots of faces dissapointing raffle though. Until some members became abusive and rowdy and fighting, realy made the family uneasy and spoiled the whole thing. Is that whats install on the banks of the lake's. Honestly regreting joining. Thugs instead of Anglers, unsafe/uneasy.

have u heard about the 4lb.chub caught..a few days ago..was by bill fraser, bloke with the mad brown labrador...swim 13,,prob no photo.

we went wednesday bern saw the bream had a nice 1LB roach nice fish but between us we had no rudd, was sum tench feeding in margin but did not get a sniff, coots are on the rampage gave gary sum nice runs lol. started of slow but picked up lunchtime.

me and gary maskall went fishing on back lake on swim 16&17 i had two nice bream 5 1/2lb and 6lb, and 4 1/2 lb of roach and perch on the pole.
gary had a nice 6lb tench and 2 1/2lb of perch and roach.

saw one bloke on the front lake he had a nice l4 carp and a tench during the night, also showed me the pic of the carp he caught last week in swim 6

also another bloke who was hammered who as far that im aware of did not catch any.
there was four guys fishing on the back lake since thursday evening had a two small carp and a bream (hard times)

bailiffs plz note there could be a foreign national fishing over the lake.i cannot pronounce his name..gary norfolk and trevor know him..he is going to join the club.he has fished on day ticket a number of times..he usually wears ck fishing stuff..he could be one of those east european champion fishing superstars..so DONT chuck him in. ps there was a big flying ,fish eating machine on the lake this afternoon.

Stick to sea fish they are better for your health and they don't cause any pain if you catch my drift....as DANeBOY said our fish are our's and are very bad for your health some of the fish can cause serious injury nuff said.

yep you guessed it lakes been fed again every swim with a little something diff but what we all use as some stage. a match bait get the fish feeding and fed and maybe we get some surprise weights in the forthcoming matchs. tight lines 2 all.

Went over lakes monday afternoon fed half front lake and all of the back lake had a chill for a few hrs see fish on the feed good sign.picked up a lot of litter(E.G)GREEN FISHING LINE NOT A GOOD SIGN!!!gets the club a bad name...can we please take our rubbish home or at least to the bins.

1)If you see any poachers ring both the committee and phone the 0800 number on back of rod licence with details of lake and what problem is, and EA will be down asap to deal.

2)EA officers can only deal with poachers with no licence or using any other means of catching fish with out using a rod and line.

3)If there is fish in a bag or being cooked etc. then this becomes a police matter not EA as this is classed as theft.

On speaking to the EA officer and notifying of them of the poacher problem we have, they will now visit the lakes on a more frequent basis...

Had walk round lakes today, both with Gary bailiff in morning then early afternoon on my own, no-one on lakes or in car park.
Load of fish showing all over front lake, but hardly anyfing showing on back lake except bottom end from 18 to 20.

i think trev lives closest to the lake, if he could check the car park during the evening or weekend, then he can contact us and we can meet up over there. another idea is to get a few people doing night fishing every other weekend if possible cause that is when they hammer the place. and take a socket set to do some repairs lol.
And if trev can get hold of the envioment agency coz they will do something about it, coz they wont ave no liscences.

I'm going for a walk-about morrow with me dog see if any nice (fish-nickers)about,your right mate we do need to stand side by side on this a good show of strenth might just be whats needed fot them to get the message.thanks for your numbers and surport.

Been walking round lakes last 2 days about 1.30pm and sitting in car park for a while to see if any of our poacher friends turned up, luckily on both times no show

got car back on road give us a shout always willin to give a hand, and can always bring someone along. this is when the members of the club should stand together. no good approaching them in smaller numbers than them cause they do carry knifes and shit been warned by various people and to be honest there not the smallest of people

Went fishing sunday by about 13.00hsr 3 car loads of fish nickers arrived when asked if they are members or need a day ticket(no speak english)was the reply no change there then!!...text a few numbers for help but no takers...faced with 3 car loads with only 4 of us what can you do...will bring this up on the 19th commitee meeting.

I was fishing front lake today (swim 5 had fuck all anyway) and our Eastern European poacher "friends" were fishing of the hill next to the bench opposite swim 26 in the bay.
They were cutting down branches to make a bonfire in which they did, there was 4 of them. Also there car was spotted in the main car park by another committee member which has got polish number plates on it. They arrived at 3pm so they are not hiding from the fact in what they are doing.
Thankfully no fish was taken this time.
Please do not approach on your own if you see anything suspicious or poaching, call someone or anyone on the committee.

Went today on front lake spinning for pike with tonka and my son shaun, i had two jack's 8lb and a 1.5lb from peg 12 and 8, tonka had 2.5lb from peg 10,
shaun had a 5.5lb from peg 6...good chill pill day few hrs 10am till 13.00hrs nice to see some other members other than myself on the lake...
trevor and bernie have fixed the disabled swimm with no fuss just got on with it a big thank you to them...and well done to gary for contacting us all thanks mate.

wont b long been given another idea of attachment just aint got round to get, been told that in the signs place near rainham police station they do the klips they use to put signs on sign posts n lamp post etc the attach to wood then clamp round pole so if got 3 or 4 of them be good. but with work,fishing and family and had time, plus memory of a goldfish dont help lol... try n get sorted asap want it done meself mate.

not alot taking at the mo had a bite on wobbled bait but lost it and a bite on smelt with float but only one fish landed a small one on a small lure im gonna try and get over there again during the week to see if i can pull a couple out.

fished the front lake on tuesday 23rd october and after my grandad saying there was no big pike coming out of there it was time to prove him wrong.So, there was me and my friend curtis robinson sitting on swim one catching nothin using two rods each and every method we could catching nothin.After an hour or so we thoght it was time to find them so off we trailed then fishing the middle of the lake with two dead baits on bite alarms.Ten minuets after getting sorted off went my alam like music to my ears and after 1-2 minuets fiting the awsome preditor came a fishermans worst nightmare it came off.Half an hour moved on and i brought one of my rods in and started spinning accedently catching crtis's line making him reel it in he cast it back out and a few seconds later off went his rod he thought it was me again but i showed him the rod and he struck in to it putting up a good fight he landed a 11lb 8oz pike and with about ten people taking pics of it it thought it was a star after untanglin his hooks and casting it back out within ten minuets he landed another pike weighing 13lb 12oz and by the way i then los another three fish time to think about sharpening my hooks and things.Going again tomoz and hoping to catch my pb pike.will be putting pics on soon

hi adam ill put these rumors to the commitee at the next meeting and clear these rumors up once and for all

it seems sweetcornby the lillys worked for me by the lillys on swim 17 although 1 maggot on the hook infront of the close lillys caught me 20-30 perch over 1 pound.

I'm off to the back lake on Saturday afternoon. I've been missing for the last couple of weekends. The pairs match seemed to have produced some decent weights can any of you tell me what was/is catching the fish? Please tell me that the weights were not all made up of 4oz perch!! hahaha.

On the subject of perch, the word on the jungle drums is that the club MIGHT be preparing for a "perch hunt". ***Before I start a stampede of reckless fish removal, please consult your rule book. Please understand that such actions cannot be taken unilaterally and must be sanctioned by the committee.***
The whisper would seem to involve keep nets full of the rod caught perch quickly transferred from the back lake to the main lake. I also heard a whisper about some of the bigger carp being removed from the back lake to the front lake.

Has anyone else heard these rumours; or are these the half remembered ramblings of a mind that has seen the bottom of too many beer glasses this "summer"?

Its the pairs match on Sunday. I don't know if its my under-arm smell or not, but I don't have a partner to fish with. Anyone fancy pairing with me and whooping some butt for a few hours. Paul Eplett has suggested he may be able to make it but if anyone else can do it, please let me know. Cheers. Dave

i've been fishing the cemex place in stanford le-hope and some superb days fishing.
they do cater for matches and im sure that everyone who fishes it will catch loads and that it would be a good day out.
