I'D SAY YOU'D BE BETTER OFF FISHING THE FRONT LAKE MATE BUT THEN AGAIN WITH THE DROP IN TEMP WHO KNOWS'S.

I fished the back lake on saturday evening to sunday afternoon after 10 mins 8lb 4onz common then 12lb 6onz mirror then a nice 15lb common and a 5lb bream all from same spot. Swim 17 u ave a clear cast to the back of the island in 16. well worth ago, I had them all on the method with poridge around feeder and single 8mm bolie tuna or fishy smell with size 12 hook hair rig nothing on corn or pellet gd luck just go to far in coz under water snag that loves tackle lol

Bk lake fishing well still had 3 carp saturday night swim 8. 16lb 7onz, 15lb, 8lb 6onz commons

Why is it that there is no christmas party or gathering/get together, all my other clubs are having a christmas bash where all get to meet up and family's etc.. this club doesnt seem to put itself out for the members and membership. the banks are scarce, 4 bailiffs i see are there more than anglers, the fishing is particularly hard and it doesnt seem you want to keep existing members let alone encourage new ones. just surprised and concerned.

just takes time to get to know the lakes just try something totaly different seems to work for me. its a good thing the banks are not always full i think.

In reply to Mr Nobody Particular, We used to have a christmas party/gathering every year but we had to stop it due to lack of interest from the members, basically the same 20 people were turning up every year with no support from the rest of the membership and as i'm sure you will agree it just wasn't viable to keep doing it. You say the club doesn't seem to put itself out for the members but i can assure all of the committee put in alot of time and effort behind the scenes just to keep the club running, whenever there's work to be done over the lakes it usually most of the committee and a handful of members that do it. we have an AGM every year in february where members can come along and voice their concerns and worries about the club and find out whats going on within the club, but again unfortunatly we are lucky if 10 - 15 members attend the AGM. we can only assume that due to the lack of response from our members that they must be happy with the way the club is being run. I hope this answers some of your concerns.
