Bruce Wagner has injured his back. He is willing to sell the rest of the season for $200. Does anyone know someone that will golf for him the rest of the year?
Please let me know ASAP,

A conversation between Harry and Ty at the course last week.
Ty Webb: You take drugs, Harry? Harry Johns: Every day. Ty Webb: Good. Then what's your problem? Harry Johns: I don't know.

Gophers, I mean golfers! I have 22 confirmed killings in the past week. The course is taking shape. Johns, Michels and Platt are shooting in the 60's...Hokensen, Bob H. and the good Smith are shooting well, Schneider is cleaning up the money. Life can't get any better. I'm licensed to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

I think the best practice everyone can do is to announce their score when you hole out or are told to pick up your ball.
Pet peeve of mine is when the person with the scorecard stays silent and just writes a number down for their score. The person with the score card needs to announce their score.
All scores should be known before teeing off on the next hole. Staying silent until the near the end of the round only results in a bigger misunderstanding about what the score was.

Still need a new team for next week. Any ideas? I would hate to see an odd amount of teams for the rest of the season.

****** Please help the new teams with rules and regulations. I have gotten a few complaints about a team, but the team complaining about it did nothing to stop the actions. If there is any doubt about something, point the infraction out immediatley. Don't wait and do it the day after. Keeping score of another players score is common practice. I guarantee I will check someone. It can be tactfully like " are you sure you got a 7?" Here's some tips to keep this league fun- 1- If your not keeping score, use your own scorecard throughout the round. keep track of all players. 2- Ask to see the scorecard in the middle of the match and question any problems. 3- Make sure you sign the scorecard! Only one scorecard was signed last week, by a new team! 4- If there is a dispute, please contact a league officer or rules committee member the night of question.

NOTE if you printed a schedule off the web earlier - dates were wrong in JUNE and are now corrected.
The Standings page includes the Skins for Group A & B at the bottom of the page.

"I got to get into this dude's pelt and crawl around for a few days. Who's the gopher's ally? His friends? The harmless squirrel and the friendly rabbit". Sorry boys, RMGC is a little damaged because of the gophers. I have been working on it night and day. Just be patient and it'll be fine by mid May.
***Watch for my weekly column of the league to be featured every week of the great (and poor) play of many of the league members. Feel free to comment and talk a little smack this year***

I just wanted to say goodbye to those of you I didn't see before I left. I have taken a job in NE Iowa as a Middle School Principal. I enjoyed getting to know most of you and enjoyed golfing with you. Take care! Josh
