Michael (Post #38) I volunteered to do a simple web page for the Crystal lake Association just so that people like you would know how to get in touch but the association did not want this info publicized on the web.

I have had the pleasure of spending time up on Crystal Lake and absolutely love it. I am interested in purchasing a home on Crystal Lake. If you or anyone you know is interested in selling and would like to do so with no realtor and no commissions, please let me know. I am a cash buyer and willing to work on your terms. You can reach me at Dockxy@comcast.net.

Bob,
Kimball beach is part of Whispering Pines Association. Kevin Gannon is the president of the association. He lives on Varney Road and I believe he's in the phone book.

Tim Cofran: What a generous offer! I had been in charge of lake testing at Hills Pond and sunset lake up until this year when I had to pass the responsibility along due to a summer job and being unable to do it anymore. I will pass the info along to my association, the Alton Shores Association and let them know how to contact you if interested. I think they are doing the testing tomorrow though, so it may be too late for this year! According to the DES website http://des.nh.gov/organization/divisions/w...ervations/index.htm ) Jean Martin is the designated volunteer for Crystal lake. Does anyone reading this blog know where she might be located? Bob Kimball: I've been to the beach named after your grandfather. Hopefully someone from the association will read this and post some contact information here. If you could post something about your grandfather and why the beach was named after him I could place this info under the photo of the beach on this web page photo gallery! Anyone interested in renting on Crystal lake please see the rental section or contact sue at Crystal Acres http://www.crystalacresnh.com/joomla/

I live in Manchester, Massachusetts and spent my childhood summers on Crystal Lake - my grandparents - Howard & Bertha (Smith) Morgan owned a home on Bennett's Point. The Winslows and the Calls are family names that I can remember. There were also the Ray Smith family that owned a cottage, I believe, in Crystal Acres. I am looking for anyone else who may have lived on that part of the lake in the sixty's and seventies. Our cottage was sold in the late 80's/early 90's to a family, I think, from Pennsylvania. I am also looking to find a place to stay and visit for a few days.

greetings.. I visited Crystal Lake sat and wow what memories came back I first went there to my grandparents camp in 1957 and later the last time i was there was when my grandfather built the house up across from the beach in the early 60's .... I went to the beach named after my grandfather and I would like to get in contact with some one from the lake assocation to see about upgrading the beach sign and to send a yearly contribution for maintenance and upgrades to the beach. If anyone can send me in the right direction it would sure be helpful. talk to you all later
Robert J. Kimball, Jr.
if you need my email addy i will send it if you cant contact me thru this blog.. Edit

Morning, my name is Tim Cofran - not sure if Crystal Lake has an association but this email is intended for such a group -I am a member of the Loon Pond Owners Association in Gilmanton - our group, in partnership with the Harvey Lake Watershed Association, received a grant last year from NEGEF - This grant enabled us to purchase water testing equipment for our respective lakes. We can now do our testing at our convenience. Because your lake is so close to ours we were wondering if you would be interested in borrowing our equipment to do your testing. You would still have to transport the samples to Concord but you would not have to travel so far as to get the testing material. The equipment we have is Kemmerer water sampler Fieldmaster Aquavues Oxygen Meter Sounding Line Secchi Disk Depth Finder Split Messenger Shock Absorber Retrieval Reel
The state recommends we continue to use their water bottles and they will mail them prior to sampling. These must be physically brought back to DES
There are no charges for this equipment - the only requirement is you would sign an agreement that states you are responsible for any repairs or lost equipment. Any questions feel free to contact me.

My family spent several summers at the Dimock's cabins on Crystal Lake. We heard that the cabins were sold after Mr. and Mrs. Dimock passed away and that condos might have been built in their place. We'd like to return to the area next summer. Can anyone tell me if the cottages are still there and if not, what's been built in their place? We'd like to find a "rustic," charming cottage that would accommodate 8-10. Thanks in advance for helping us reconnect with wonderful memories.

Thank you! You know, i finally found an address for a person named Robert Marshall...Marshall cottages Inc. I mailed a letter (asking some questions) over 2 weeks ago but no one replied. I think his address was in Tilton, NH. I guess he is the owner. I will call the telephone number and see what i can find out. thank you again.

Crystal Lake is beautiful! I am looking for a place where my family used to spend summer vacations. I know the name of the place was Camp Marshall and there were about9-12 small white cottages on a grassy hill. It was a short walk down the hill to the water which i think was Crystal Lake. I think the camp was located in Gilmanton but i am not sure. Can someone help? I think it was around 1969...give or take a few years. I think we went there for about 5-7 years. i found some information on line but i do not know if it is the same place. this is what i found on line "Robert Marshall Cottages, Inc., 36 Mountain View Dr., Tilton, NH 03276" thank you and have a great day.

Hi, I grew up from mid 1950's until late 1960's at my grandfathers camp (Tom Sexton) on Crystal Lake. After my grandfather died they sold the camp.I would love to rent a camp in august 2008 for my twin siblings 50th birthday.Does anyone know of any rental properties? Please let me know.
