The memorial service has been postponed due to some difficulty getting it scheduled with the UDC. I believe they have changed officers and it will take a little while to get things in order.

Thank you Byron, I had a wonderful birthday. We ate out for lunch and dinner, drove to Arkansas to do some shopping at Lowes & Home Depot and got the first picture (ultra sound) of our "to-be" grandbaby through my email from our youngest daughter, Rachel who lives in Deleon Springs! Tomorrow we are celebrating both Jay's & my birthday with our oldest daughter, Rene'. And we got our Missouri Drivers Licenses on my birthday! What a great day. to all roses and scv. sandy is in the hospital in sanford. central fla reg.She has been there since tuesday,and the dr still dont know what caused the swelling in the neck.The swelling is responding to meds. She may be able to come home on sunday. yours george

We will plan a short memorial/dedication service at the Cone cemetery today. I will plan on bringing some flags for the photos, etc. But it wouldn't hurt for others to also bring flags. I don't have poles for mine.

This Saturday Morning will be the Umatila Christmas parade, the lake county SCV has a floattype trailer plus others that are in uniform that walk with a banner and Diablo and I and usually a few more horses we meet around 8 to 8:30 on 19 across from what use to be the Golden Gem the parade starts at 9 I have done it the past 4 years and it is fun also the crowd is Confederate freindly the OCR also ride with us even if you dont have any period clothes you can ride there are plenty who do if any thing get out Saturday morning take a 30 minute ride and enjoy some good felowship.
