As I mentioned at the meeting last night, I'm helping my wife raffle off 4 red sox tickets to help raise money for her participation in the Boston 3-day breast cancer awareness walk/Susan G. Komen for the cure event. You can learn more about the 3-day and Susan G. Komen foundation at: http://08.the3day.org/site/PageServer. Raffle tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.

The game is September 2 vs. Baltimore, 7:05 start time. The seats are lower level grand stand on the 3rd base side, lined up with home plate. Good seats, unobstructed views.

We'll be selling raffle tickets right up until the July 31 drawing, so if you weren't at the meeting or didn't get a chance to get tickets last night, send me an e-mail at michael.ruccio@noaa.gov and we'll get things arranged via mail, upcoming races, the July WC meeting, or something.

Also, the Fukawi run was a blast! Thanks to those that helped set it up and ferried runners to the start. Also, thanks to those that smoothed things over with the Commonwealth’s finest that stopped by the Circle, too. Maybe next year, any route inside the I-95 or I-495 fences should be out of bounds?

Hi,
Looking for a ride down from Mt Washington (forgot to ask around the meeting last night). Any drivers out there have any space left? Thanks, Kristen

Hello everyone,

I am not a member, but live locally and have run your four miler for the last couple years. I see that there are a few of you running the MT. Washington. I am looking for one person that needs a ride down. My wife and two kids will be driving up and i will have room for one more coming down.

Feel free to email me at henrysacco@hotmail.com

Henry

Quick heads up to anyone interested: My wife's Susan G. Komen Foundation Boston Breast Cancer 3-Day walking team (the Pinkburys) is having a fundraiser tomorrow evening 7:00-10:30ish at the Galleria Banquet Room at Maria’s Restaurant, 85 Essex Street, Haverhill, MA. Tickets on sale at the door and includes a drawing for door prizes, live local musicians (blues/funk/soul/solo pianist), free appetizers and desserts, cash bar, 50 or so really great donated items for raffles and silent auctions (local artwork, restaurant/spa/local services gift certificates, red sox and theme park tickets, and much more). Should be a really enjoyable evening for a great cause.

Housing needed for elite athletes for High Street Mile.

More than likely just Saturday night August 2nd but possibly Friday too depending on how far away they are coming.

This allows us to pull some big guns for this event. MB Chesler is taking care of the boys from NYC but I got a commitment from a former NCAA D2 runner up for the 800. (Thank you to Linda Long for hooking me up with Steve Jones)

Thanks
Chris
