Hi Lisa - Have you put a post on the RTB website yet? There is usually a pretty good success rate finding runners on the race forum. Good Luck!

Hi. My name is Lisa. My sister and I are organizing an ultra team for Reach the Beach. Its a 200 mile relay in NH (www.rtbrelay.com). Sorry for the short notice, but the event takes place 9/14-15... We had our full team, but last week 2 runners dropped out. We need one male and one female to complete our team. Interested in joining the team?

There are 36 legs, but we are going to combine 3 of the legs to make the transitioning of the vehicles easier, as well as the distance taking less of a toll on our bodies. We have lodging for the night before, as well as the vehicles for transporting throughout the race. Below is a breakdown of the legs:

Runner 1 - Legs 1-3 = 23.7 miles; Legs 19-21 = 18.8 miles; total = 42.5 miles
Runner 2 - Legs 4-6 = 15.4 miles; Legs 22-24 = 18.5 miles; total = 33.9 miles
Runner 3 - Legs 7-9 = 15 miles; Legs 25-27 = 22 miles; total = 37 miles
Runner 4 - Legs 10-12 = 14.4 miles; Legs 28-30 = 14.9 miles; total = 29.3 miles
Runner 5 - Legs 13-15 = 19.7 miles; Legs 31-33 = 15.7 miles; total = 35.4 miles
Runner 6 - Legs 16-18 = 18.7 miles; Legs 34-36 = 16 miles; total = 34.5 miles

Please email me (track_all_star@yahoo.com) if you or anyone you know are interested in joining our team.

Thanks,
Lisa

hey Jack if you had said all that it would have made it a lot more clear. you can ask anyone in the club that i'm not that sensitive personaly. You would have been better understood if you relayed the information that it was an ongoing problem and not said it might be a runner. And any runner knows to look around for people who are sitting in vehicles or driving around parking lots. Please let us NH runners know if you'll be at the next meeting. One last note tonight I did not see a green pick up with white lettering on it when i ran in Maudsley. I will also look for it Thursday when I run there also.

Maybe this infor would have been nicer than eluding to this being a WCRC member and runner. I think we all appreciate the heads up, but not the finger pointing. "QUOTE FROM JACK - Who knows it could be a runner or even someone in the club so if anyone knows anyone who goes to Maudslay and has a green pick-up track, let me or the police know."

I know all to well the feelings of being robbed, having been through my door being kicked in by a herion addict and many of my families and children's things stolen and pawned for drugs. Fortunately the guy watched and waited until I left the house with my children before breaking in and he was eventually caught.

Have a nice day :)

Thanks Mick. I am sure that if Lisa and TimmyP were the ones robbed they would have a completely different attitude and would want to see the perp caught. Also, if they were wise they would be able to figure out that if they use Maudslay and leave their purse and wallet in their vehicle when they go for a run, this perp is going to be sitting in the parking lot and watching them run off into the woods and they could be the next one robbed. The police said guys like this keep doing the same thing over and over again until they are caught. So Lisa and TimmyP, you could be next, but that doesn't concern you, your "personal sensitivity" is more important.

I have more information. I forgot to point out that the green pick-up truck has contractor's writing on the door but my wife didn't remember what it said. The park rangers are also investigating and they have seen a suspicious green pick-up truck frequently the past few weeks driving slowly past the parking lot and scanning the lot.

Again, I ask anyone who wants to see this guy caught and wants to run in the park without fear of being robbed and is not concerned about their own personal sensitivites, please get the plate number and call the police

thanks for the heads up, Jack. I appreciate the alert and will pay more attention there. I'm glad your wife is safe.

Not knowing who Jack is I suspect he will make the next club meeting with the NPD to question all the NH runners who drive pickup trucks AND who live in the Stratham area AND who like to run in Maudsley to see if we are the culprits. Will you be there Jack?

Jack, I find your post very offensive. Apparently you don't have much regard for your fellow club members.
I am white, run, belong to the club, live in Stratham and own a green pickup and guess what, I shop at Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Staples.
I am guessing I'm not the only one that finds your post a bit distasteful and presumptuous.

Robbery at Maudslay. Just to give everyone a head's up. My wife's car was broken into and her credit cards stolen on Sunday Morning 8/26 when she was running. The perp may have been a white male in a green pick-up truck. The perp may live in the Stratham NH area as he ran up 2500 in charges at Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Staples. A police report was filed with NBPT PD and the credit card companies are investigating.

If anyone runs there be on the lookout for suspicious activity or if you see a green pick-up truck there.

Who knows it could be a runner or even someone in the club so if anyone knows anyone who goes to Maudslay and has a green pick-up track, let me or the police know.

I didn't stick around for the awards after Saunders 10K race Thursday night. How did the WCRC teams do?

Christmas in August? Not really, but WCRC treasurer Rob Robertson recently found some checks to WCRC that were never deposited, written by WCRC members to pay for dinner at the WCRC Christmas Party at Saunders last December. He intends to deposit them next week, so if you wrote a check to WCRC for the party that was never cashed … it probably will be soon. If you think this may cause you some problem, please contact Rob ASAP at robrobertsoniii@comcast.net For those of you who don't get Tom's emails consider yourselves warned!

High Street Mile.

Thank you everyone for helping out with "the Mile". 3 new age group records:

Female 13-15
Alanna Poretta 15 5:20 2007

Male 30-39
Stanley Kipchumba 35 4:16 2007

Female 40-49
Zofia Wieciorkowska 44 5:05 2007

284 runners ran.

I believe this was the biggest HSM ever. It is only through the efforts of the entire club coming together that this race can run as smoothly as it does. And I get the added benefit of actually still being able to run it! Below is the list of members and others that made this happen ( I am sure I missed someone). Thank you all for taking a Sunday morning to put it all together.

If anyone is ever in need of a local t-shirt vendor for races I used Screen Gems in Seabrook. They did a great job on this year's High Street Mile t-shirt.

Contact is Andy Skaff (603)474-5353
