To anyone who cares - Some of you know this, most don't, but I will do a little bragging here. The Morgan Horse Assc. had a national Morgan Idol contest where you were to show a talent you and your horses have and compete against other acts around the country. We had the Mounted Shooting Morgans and competed at the Morgan Horse Citrus Cup at Canterbury. It was Pistolero Spur, Rocky Rider, Outlaw Granny and Myself, the lonely one. The horses were Whisper, Bear, Echo and Jazz. We have just been notified that we were the national competition winners. We are being considered as special entertainment at the World Equistrian Games in Lexington, Ky. in Sept. of 2010. This event is considered to be bigger than the Olympics in the horse world. There are some who say they'll never let us do it because we will scare all those good horses. (How can you scare a good horse?) Either way, we consider it an honor just to be considered. Special thanks go out to Grumpy and Grumpy's wife, Ted and Pat, Poppy, Wendy, Duke, Dane and anyone else who helped us with set up, balloons, and whatever else we needed. We just rode and shot, they made it happen. If I overlooked anyone, I'm sorry. I am old and forgetful. Now we just have to get everyone to Ky. if we are allowed to perform.
