I think that it is great that this algorithm finds the eyes in real time, and also blinking.

I also think that eye gaze is important. I am not sure if the paper mentions this or not. If not, perhaps you can use IR cameras to track the eye gaze, once you have the eyes detected with your algorithm. This would be cool!! =)

My talk is going to focus mostly on the third chapter of Ian's thesis. If you read the first linked paper that should give you a good background to understand the third chapter (which extends the learning of objects from the supervised to the weakly-supervised setting).
