Shugborough Relays 2009:

The relays start at 7.30pm at the Outdoor Education Centre on the Shugborough Estate. Teams have been asked to be there by 7.00pm if possible and this would help me to sort out the teams and give out the numbers.

We have been asked to enter the estate by the main entrance which is opposite Milford Common. The postcode for the estate is ST170XB. It is situated to the east of Stafford on the A513 on the road to Rugeley.

If there is a problem please let me know as soon as possible. My mobile phone number is 07713627044.

Thanks. Rob.

Rob, the thanks all goes to you! Well done for organising the event(s) and for running two legs as well. I hope that the money added up last night after the curry, if not let us know and I for one will make extra contribution ( I may have had more than my share of popadums!)
Cheers,
Paul

As Paul is clearly more well off than the rest of us, he could get the first round in on Tuesday evening. If he whats to make up for the amount of popadoms he ate, he could pay for a weekend in Spain for us all...!

Dale you are obviously struggling with lysdexia as firstly 'you have been sipping a cold bear' and now 'if he whats to make up for the amount of popadoms....'Anyway talking about first round, did I ever tell you about coming home first for the club at Little Aston?

Maybe one of the newer members doesn't know about Little Aston. Many new members have joined since 1937.

Anyone wishing to go to Lake Vyrnwy for the half marathon on 13th Sept. Whether running or supporting, please let me know ASAP so I can sort transport. We will only be having a mini bus for this trip so please book your seat early to make sure of a place.

I would like to thank everyone at ARC who sponsored me to do this year's London Marathon. I sent a cheque to Diabetes UK last week for £1522, making the total I have raised, £1707.
I would like to give a special mention to John & Jane Quinn, Paul Butler and all the Sunday morning, Thursday evening gangs who got me through all the training.
I could not have done the race without all the support of family & friends and being able to raise this amount for my chosen charity made all the hard work worthwhile.
Thanks once again. Mel x
