Hi everyone, Runners World have just been in touch - there will be an article on the race in the September issue - the magazine goes on sale in August..

Shugborough Relay Teams.

I have now received the race numbers for six of our relay teams for tuesday night and sent off entries for four more.

We could still do with a couple more people (as otherwise, I shall be looking for volunteers for people to run two legs!) in order to fill all the teams, so if you would like to run and haven't spoken to me before, please let me know.

It is a 4 x 2 mile relay on a flat course at Shugborough Hall, near Stafford. It is on Wednesday 17th June at 7.30pm.

Afterwards, some of us will be going for a curry at India Red in Hednesford. More details about that later.

Shugborough Relays 2009.

These take place at Shugborough Hall on wednesday night at 7.30pm. We are asked to be there by 7pm. Whilst this may not be totally necessary for everyone, especially later leg runners, it will help to keep my stress levels low if I have seen everyone!

The race starts and finishes at the Outdoor Education Centre and we have been asked to enter via the main entrance off Milford Common and then follow the marshalls directions to the car park.

I shall attempt to check teams and give out directions at the club tomorrow.

For those that want to, I have booked a very large table at India Red on Market Street in Hednesford for after the race tomorrow. The postcode for the restaurant is WS12 1AG.

It will speed things up greatly if people can pre-order their food for Wednesday night. I have been in and picked up some menus and will bring them to the club tomorrow.

India Red is unlicenced but there is an off-licence just across the road from the restaurant.

We probably have space for two or three more runners if anyone else wants to come along or if anyone that is already running wants to run more than one leg!
