Oh dear, it appears that my attempt to be mildly Quixotic has rather mis-fired, and anyway you have all missed the greatest Belgian of them all, Jaques Brell - so there !!! ( & Van de Valk was a Belgian - I know he was fictional, but his creator Nicolas Freeling was Belgian..so there ) T.J. and while wer'e at it-& off the top of my head, how about : Rubens; Magritte; Bosch; Bosman (he of the transfer business); Eddie (the beast) Mercx & the lovely Audrey Hepburn..........I am sure there are many more but I cant be arsed.....see you Tuesday

You are right to question whether Belgium is a country because they have no Government and don't look like getting one. Can't see how they can exist unless the Flems (or is it Phlegms) and the Woloons come to a decision and go for self rule then there'll be two countries. Never mind if we're patient those unelected twats in Brusselles will have us all in regions in one big State.

Hi All. I've heard via another running club that the Birmingham and Black Country Half Marathon race is limited to 1000 entries and these are filling up fast. Apparently entries will on 5th June. So if anyone is interested in entering best do it fast.

Looks like we might have more chance in running this one than the October Birmingham Half Marathon which still has no information on its one page web site.
Steve
I've given up googling Belgians by the way

I sympathise entirely Jane. I fell off my bike a week ago and have just begun light training after a bruised hip. Don't listen to that nasty, huge carbon footprinting Waple. Bikes are for the sustainably aware.

Well said Penny !! I whole heartedly agree.
Jane always has a good splash of Gin with her water, I believe she's partial to a nice long Malibu too.
